Having trouble understanding what i'm doing wrong... I'm tyring to update a website using ftp software. I've transfered all the files to the bt space (host company). home.btconnect.com/xxxxxxxx-web1/ The site works here. Now i'm not familiar with how this works, but i'm guessing that this should then automatically update the domain name www.xxxxxxxx.com (registered with BT), which it is not doing. The old site is still visible? I've cleared the cache etc. Sorry if this makes no sense, not exactly sure whats going on myself!? any help would be much appreciated

Morning all, i'm in the process of updating a website for a family friends business. They have given me details to access there online account, which works fine. Once here there is no info regarding uploading the site to there domain. I'm trying to upload the site via FTP method,using the same username/password but I don't seem to be able to access it? Regarding the host details that are requested through the ftp software...do you enter the host company, for example ftp.xxxxinternet.com or should this be their companies domain? sorry for been simple! many thanks

Hi there, i'm new to php and web design but this is what i have created so far. The pictures below show what i have created and how i would like the finished page to look. I would appreciate any advice regarding the php... few problems... 1. when selecting an option from the list a picture is displayed and also a block of text(although missing in pic1). Should this text(list of tyre sizes) be written in with the php? 2. how do i manipulate where the info/picture etc will be displayed? many thanks

thanks for the link. I've been research into php - else/if, arrays, variables. I'm slowly learning the code to create the form etc. what i don't understand is how i incorporate this into my ideal design layout. this is what i have so far...

Afternoon all, i'm currently learning php to try and create a simple site that allows the user to select a product from a list, and the related picture and info is then displayed. Progress is slow but i'm getting there. My next problem is how do i incorporate this into my html page...position of form/how to control where the picture is displayed etc? Really am new to this so presume I am a complete idiot! this is the basic visual of how i want the site to look. The area in the centre is where my php skills are going to come in, but how do i form the complete page? any advice,tips, links etc would as always be much appreciated.

I've had a website hosted by uk-cheapest.co.uk for just short of a couple of months now. Last week the site went offline,along with the host companies website. Its been over a week now with no word from the company and i'm un sure of what to do next? I appreciate that you do pay for what you get and wasn't expecting all singing customer service etc but still?? any advice would be very helpful cheers

Hi there, I'm very new to web design and this forum. Looks like this forum is a good place to start! I need some advice/info with regards to list box's in dreamweaver... basically i need to have about 20 options. when each option is selected the related info and picture will apprear at the side of the list. I have no idea where to start, or if this is a good way of going about it? any help and advice would be greatly appreciated
