well i am pretty new to webdesign-work. At the moment i am trying to figure out how to create a little graphic.

to be a bit more concrete:ย ย at the moment i am trying to create such a grapic - cosnstiing of dots.

ย

image.png.0a850ca514a9bd5c03cef56ecf5c31cc.png

according to my limited knowledge i think i ought to use
a, gimp or
b. krita or
c. inkscape orย

d. Figma.ย

question:ย what would you gonna use to create such a immage!?

i look forward to hear from you

greetings

yours saint_o๐Ÿ˜Š

hello and good day dear Jogeta2316ย ๐Ÿ˜‰

ย

first of all: many thanks for the quick reply. Happy to hear from you.ย ย ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

You can probably do it on all the software in your list. The principles look like the vector artwork is positioned on different layers,ย ย and that these layers have a gradient blur applied to give a depth of field effect.

ย

Thanks for sharing your ideas. And many thanks for encouraging me!ย ๐Ÿ™‚

....great: well to do it with vector-approach it means that i could do it in inkscape.ย

ย To create different layers ill have to look how we can do this... And of course: a gradient blur is awesome to give a depth of field effect.ย

Well, since Inkscape has got a bit steep(er) learing curve i think i go and start here - and if i got stuck i might continue with Krita ( or Gimp!? ).

so i have mused avout the options and if i (in this case) could export some of the data from Inkscape to Krita.ย
i have heard that it is possible to do so: To transfer data from Inkscape design as an SVG file and then import it into Krita. Alternatively, ย i think that a copy and paste of the vector objects directly from Inkscape into a vector layer in Krita should be possible.

So i am going to do some first approaches at the weekend.ย

ย i come back and let you know how it is going.

good day dear fisicx - many thanks for the quick reply.ย

thanks alot. This is awesome.ย

ย

i want to get someย  visualizaztion of vectorized network - in other words dots that are connected.ย

hmm - similar to the above shown image.ย  ย

if we can add some

a. gradient color sheme to the background it would be niceย

b. and if there a kind of blurr effect could be achieved that would be awesome

ย

look forward to hear from youย

Then just do as suggested and build up the layers: gradient backgound then the dots on top with a blur effect.

But...

What is the purpose of the image? How does it enhance the webpage, advert, poster, whatever?

Well i am pretty new to all kind of graphic-work.ย

And - to be frank - i need to have some basic knowledge in the field of graphic-work.ย  I need to dive into the very basic steps and methods.

well - its only a first step of diving into the tool-and technique-world - in other words a preliminary step.ย

if i get familiar with the mehtods of creating images and (in the future perhaps even a logo) then i can think about getting ready to draw, work and create images and such things for a web-page.ย

but while being at the first steps of a long road i think my knowledge is quite tooo limited

greetings yoursย

good evening dear fisicxย

ย

i gotta have to reply - and to say - see above:๐Ÿ˜‡

ย

ย T - E - S - T - I - N - G - purpose.ย

its only for a test - like mentioned above. I have found out that my design skills are almost zero.ย

so i think i have to dive into the various tools, methods and design processesย

therefore i think its good to have test-stuff and materialย

thinks i could work on.. .- and learn something.ย

with the test-stuff (which could be regarded as a so called "vehicle" - i hope i can dive into the tools of gimp, and inkscape and thelikeย

ย

i think by the way that this method is far betterย  than watchin YT-clipsย

ย

greetings Your Saint O๐Ÿ™‚

Depending on the size and purpose of this test image you may be better off saving as webp file. Some platforms (like wordpress) won't let you import SVG because they can be very insecure.

've been playing around on Figma and you can definitely recreate this on figma and export as an SVG

yeah i also played with Figma - its an awesome tool - it even runs on mobile phone - and you can collaborate with others too.ย  I also tried out the open-source equivalent once..

ย

thanks Pixelatedย  for your tipps.ย ย

BTW: a great place - to share ideas,ย  thoughts and knowldge. I am glad to be here.ย

For creating a simple dot-based graphic as a beginner, start with Inkscape or Figma. Use layers for arranging the dots, apply a gradient background, and add a slight blur for depth. Export as SVG for vector work or WebP if using WordPress. Test and experiment to learn the tools, then refine your skills gradually.
