July 24, 200818 yr I know this is slightly off topic, but can ANYONE explain to me the fashion of having one trouser leg pulled up to the top of your calf and the other worn normally? Or the wearing of a woolly hat in summer but pulled up so it only just sits on your head. I keep seeing this everywhere and thinking I must be SOOO uncool cos I really don't get these latest fashions

Sympathies to Cabbage and a supportive it's life I'm afraid, had many similar experiences (won't bore you with details) and can only say be philosophical, discuss with people and be strong. Regarding prisons - see todays Independent newspaper Thought of the Day - page 33 article by Johann Hari. Read, digest and ponder - I couldn't even attempt to make the points as well as he does.
