I'm all for that, ya know you guys are fantastic! I absolutely love the community here, I agree that spreading the word would be really beneficial for us.

By the way I havn't forgot member of the month! *That will be picked this week* :) Promise.

Thanks alot for being so great! We got some work to do if we wanna get 5000 *genuine* members by the end of the week! Whoever does get's member of the year! he he. :)

Great stuff.

:)

p.s I like your Mr T! "I pity the fool"

hehe, its meant to motivate everyone, so chip-chop, members please.....

When I joined today, I hoped there was a place to post some tutorials, I found none, too bad, I would have liked to post some of my php tutorials here. Bringing a tutorial section here will get you more traffic, if you have good tutorials you post 'm on p2l and you will have a new flow of traffic coming in.

hey Wildo, I'll speak wuth Ben. Great idea :clapping:

yeh tutorials and p2l would be a big flow of traffic.

keep pushng everyone, we are increasing, we have had 6 members join since I posted this I think.

If we keep up our posting activity too, that helps people use the forum, as its updated more often.

Post Post Post.

Lemme rephrase it.

Post with a goal in mind. Quality.

lol. No spam. This site is too good for that :friends:

yeh we wont get a very gd rep if u all spam.

Yeah, spamming isn't a good thing. But getting the website noticed and recognised for it's fun yet informative atmosphere without annoying people would be ideal. I think it's starting to pick up recently! So letting people know about it seems to be working! Woot!

We just need to keep the momentum going in getting new members and raising the awareness of our existence. :)

Thanks for helping :)

it's getting extra traffic since the advertisement in techtuts.com :)

Wildo

i just googled web designer lol and this popped up lol. so advertising wasn't needed for me.

hmm, what about creating a skin that will match the banner on top, I love the header, but the skin is just the default one isn't it. :( People will stay at your site earlier when the layout is eye-candy.

Wildo

yeh i was gonna suggest changing the colours on the bars a while back but i forgot lol.

yeah.

Great idea.

Plus we are all designers, why not have a WDF theme competition? That way, we can drive traffic here, and get more members, and Ben gets a cool new template to code :clapping:

Thanks to everyone who has helped introduce new members to the forum, there's been some great new members! :)

Hopefully we can continue to attract new members and continue to grow.

Thanks to all those involved.

:)

your welcome :friends::clapping::yahoo: Its getting bigger. Now stop reading this thread, and go get some more posters. Wheres my Mr T gone?

Have u thought about buying advertising space on p2l or somewhere similar?

  • 2 months later...

I can't do much advertising at moment, but once im back at University I will be sure to tell all the computing students about the forum. Also, as said above, a website to complement the forum would be great, as well as advertising (or maybe just even a group account) on DeviantART.

  • 1 month later...

Well, it sure looks like things are going well :)

I'v mentioned it to people I know on some other websites I visit etc.

I think this forum has done very well over the past few months.

:)

I'm in. I'll help make some ads. and 5000 members isn't going to happen, how about 500?

  • Author

5000 isnt going to happen.

Thats not the fighting spirit

Keep pushing. Just invite your friends and business contacts here.

This place is booming.

Well done Mr Ben, you own a truly wonderful forum ;)

It can happen, I am a moderator on another forum with about 3000 members and between us we have posted 134959 articles! Plus all the add-on pages.

Actually, the guy who built that forum would be a valuable member here - hmm, off to send PM
