July 6, 20179 yr Hi all, I've got a problem with a site I'm hosting with 123-reg. I am hosting a prestashop website with them using their Linux package. The problem is that every page displays the IP before my domain name in the address bar:example: 12.12.123.12/websitename.co.uk/ I just want it to display websitename.co.uk I've done a little research into how to remove the IP address and tried modifying the .htaccess file (RewriteRule) and editing the advanced DNS settings on 123-reg configs but getting no where. Any help/guidance would be massively appreciated! Thanks.
July 6, 20179 yr Couple of things it could be: 1. Have you mapped your domain's nameservers to your web hosting account? 2. If the nameservers are correct check URL and path settings in your Prestashop installation to see if they are correct

July 7, 20179 yr Found this on an old Prestashop thread; "Fixed mine at least, with a little help I found that if you scroll far enough down on the SEO & URL's Page within the Backend>Preferences Section there is a URL's bit where you can punch in the domain name you want to use instead of the IP Address." https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/97471-ip-address-of-server-showing-in-browser-bar/
