i’m in the initial steps of my startup, and i need to build a website with specific functions to be able to provide my "minimal viable offer”, i’m just confused with all available options and features. Would someone kindly suggest services and programs to achieve the following workflow with minimal budget and effort.

the needed work flow is:

- customers will be able to log in

- fill in their profile details, they have to to fill in a lot of info, and be able to retrieve and adjust it.

- export specific data “from profiles” from a database to a spreadsheet program “preferably excel” on a local computer

- the results from the spreadsheet program should be able to interact with the database, and posts the results in it

- the database should be able to post the results in the customer profiles.

I had in mind, Wix for the as website host, caspio as my cloud database as it seems targeted toward non programmers, ms access to retrive data from caspio to play with the data as it seems to have more options than caspio and excel as a spreadsheet.

Since this is a minimal viable offer, i need to make it as cheap as possible, with the ability to migrate easily to better options when needed.

I wouldn't even consider using wix for this. I'd either go with an open source solution or hire a developer to build it from scratch. The features you would like really are not all that complicated to get done quickly by a professional developer. I think wordpress would be able to handle the above things however I think a from scratch solution would be better. Just my thoughts tho

It's not going to be cheap.

 

If you can't afford to pay the going rate for this then you won't be able afford the marketing. All of which means it ain't gonna work.

Yup, you're talking in the tens of thousands to build this properly with a good testing strategy, agile workflow etc. Skip things like this and your platform will be littered with bugs and more than likely not fit for purpose.

You don't want anyone interacting with the database through something like Excel. I can't think of a single way to secure that, it's an accident waiting to happen.

I would suggest finding a partner who is a web developer for this. There's no way you're going to build something like that unless you're a dev, hiring one, or working with one.
