I would like to discuss about -

What is the most important one between Page Rank and SEO?

is it more effective than other also?

and how robot can put your site to any position by these 2 factors?

Can anyone explain to me - ____ - "

Your question is quite confusing. But if you mean that what's important between having higher page rank and having higher position in search results, I think the one that holds greater significance is to be listed your site in higher position in SERP. That's because, this will provide your site more traffic thus helping also to boost your sales.

Eggman has this covered but I thought I'd throw my tuppence worth in. Now this is only my perception and isn't the inner workings of Google or whatever....

PageRank is a part of SEO that deals with the credibility of your site. The biggest factor being the more links to it from trusted sites (High PR) then the more trusted and therefore credible your site. This makes a good candidate for having a high position in SERPs.

Other parts of SEO deal with relevance. You can have a PR10 site that's all about dogs but it won't rank highly for a search of cars. You can have a low PR site about "Giraffe juggling in Torquay" and it'll most likely rank highly in the SERPs for that search - presuming it hasn't used naughty spam methods in which case it might have lost all credibility and be banished from the index.

But if "Giraffe juggling in Torquay" was a popular thing then your low PR site would appear lower than a high PR site in the SERP because the high PR site has more credibility.

:D

I would second the last post

You can get pages with PR of 0 (new sites, not punished ones!!) coming up on the first page of less popular searches

There is a lot behind SEO - the key to it (I think) is being clear what kind of searches you are targetting and being realistic in trying to achieve that

SEO is like writing a book that readers can't put down

Pagerank is making the book so good that people will want to recommend it to their friends

I thought that was copywriting?!!! ;)

Just to carry-on your book metaphor because SEO never works in isolation.... Do you reckon:

Design is getting the sleeve (cover and back-cover) to stand-out on the shelves, about binding the book so that it doesn't fall apart and ensuring the pages can be read easily.

Copywriting is creating the right title, those 'teaser' snippets on the back cover and then providing the actual story inside! Oh, and not forgetting to put the price on it, let-alone all those press releases and marketing!

Would hosting be ensuring the book is delivered and displayed on the shelf in the first place?

Maybe I shouldn't post just after a strong espresso! :D

I completly agree with Wizley ,PR has little significance these days .Trust rank is the highest factor for a website to rank well for its given keywords. There is no relation between PR and Keyword rank in search results.

I thought PR was "Trust Rank"? Hopefully nobody else thinks I said PR has little significance these days! :D

lol - PR definitely has a lot of significance, just not in the way most people think.

There is no relation between PR and Keyword rank in search results.

I agree with that part though. There is no direct relation between the two, PR comes into play with the indirect relation

PR has no relation with keyword rankings ,there are many websites that have low PR but rank well then other good PR websites for their competitive keywords. Thus it proves my point.

Yeh I see that point of view too. If all PageRank's were shared among all sites in the world the average is PR1 each site, but I think PR and SEO are 2 different discussions that cross over on many levels.

Keywords tell the search engine what your site is about, page rank give is a measure of quality. Either one alone will not result in good search engine rankings. If your keywords are rare, then you can appear high in the rankings with a low (or even zero) page rank. For competitive keywords, generally sites with higher page ranks are going to appear higher But a page with a lower page rank can still appear above one with a higher page rank for the same keyword, if the search engine believes it is more closely related to that specific keyword.

Essentially the search engine asks two questions - what is this page about and how good is it. The interplay of these two things is what determines where your site will appear. The search engines use this information to attempt to give customers the most relevant, high quality sites to the search term. If they don't, users will quickly move on to another search engine that gives them better results.
