  1. Genius Let's find out what the site is all about eh! Little James
  2. Simple answer to all of this. Don't use Dreamweaver. Little James
  3. Could be but unlikely. More probable cause could be: An associated Alt Tag Associated Title Tag Image URL Google Image Labeler Image Name (but relationship between words and associated use of '-' and '_' Or any combination of the above. Little James
  4. PR - PageRank. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank You are based in MK right? just down the road from me! Little James
  5. Hello There are various things you could be doing to optimise your site. Specifically - the issue with Google indexing pages I believe is only time related. And since the PR is 2 it won't be a priority URL. Little James
  6. Yes totally agree. I aim for around 5% keyword rich density which has a desired effect. Although there is something to be said for longevity of content and its relevance to PR. On that basis I personally don't update 'ALL' the site 2-3 times a week but allow the site to organically grow (ie add rather than update or amend) Little James
  7. 4 CSS, Images, Header Tags, No Flash Title Tags, Content, Headers, Site Map, HTTP Req, Download Size, Alt Tags, Title Tags (On links), inBound links (inc their relevance), Domain, Length of time live, Association to directories (not in any particular order) Content, Title Tags (Page), Keyword Rich Domain, Download Size, Headers It has nothing to do with intuition. It is based on a mathematical algorithm outlined by the Engine. A strange question because I believe the boundaries become fuzzy. I believe that it is essentially a science (in that it can be taught, whereas drawing cannot necessarily be taught). You can follow a set of instructions to optimize a site. However since you are looking for a one word answer I will say 'science'. But with conditions. (ie some people are naturally better at it than others). Blimely, hope this has helped, clearly the answers given are open to dispute - I feel they need to come with small print, they are my personal views - I'm sure other people will disagree - good for you, but with a view to helping out here it is! Little James
  8. I suspect the question is more of a legal issue than moral SEO enquiry. If I understand the question you'll want to know if you can take over the competition keywords including possibly the company name? Little James
  9. You'd think so huh! Usually a thread starts with a question. Little James
  10. That's a great resource!!! Thanks Little James
  11. I don't mind Adobe Acrobat Reader - works fine for me and my needs. Little James
  12. Why not use a keyword rich folder? So if your site is about cars, the pdf is about a Ford Escort perhaps something like this: ford/cars/1_3-ka.pdf Just an idea. PDF's can also be SEO'd too, populate the PDF with title/author/subject & keywords. Little James
  13. I don't think it matters. Not enough to significantly effect PR Little James
  14. Stolen work? - Nothing in the Portfolio section right now, perhaps the content has been updated very recently? Little James
  15. Ohh, just 1 thing mate - on your comment "fresh content", there is some evidence to support the longevity of good (keyword rich) content and PR. Little James
  16. Personally no. I generally stay away from the paid directory model. Little James
  17. Speculation. Neither of us know how many he has. Could be 2, could be 200. Also neither of us know how much time he has. Could be a project which has no deadline. Some people like to do everything possible (and if that means to include a hyphen - Despite the ongoing debate of will it/won't it have an effect on the SERP) 'if' he wants to make use of a hphen to break up keywords in a URL let him do it without criticism please. Also what's to say he hasn't spent a huge volume of time working on content. The origional question was 'What's the best way to do it' and not 'Should I do it'. Little James
  18. It will have very little impact, but that's no reason not to do it. Little James
  19. So you don't think that if a Page is deemed as highly relevant and Ranked accordingly it will have no relationship to a SERP based on 'that' keyword(s)... Interesting. Little James
