November 27, 201411 yr Hey Friends, I would appreciate it if you guys could review this site of my client: http://cubettech.com/. The site has been getting a high bounce rate and there are some navigation issues too. I'm just looking for opinions from different perspectives.I believe that the SEO Expers here can help me out. Kindly do so. Thanks & Regards,
November 27, 201411 yr I appreciate your efforts for getting the reviews on the website. Actually reviews build or enhance the brand image for your business. I will definitely review the website. For more information contact mmf infotech.
November 27, 201411 yr As it's a single page site, it takes some time to load (for me). If I'd just been browsing, I would probably have left and gone elsewhere. I appreciate that the menu bar moves up to the top of the page, but the initial position for it is not intuitive. There is very ittle information intially shown (above the fold) when first viewing the site, yet you invite viewers to start some sort of project?
November 27, 201411 yr Took a good few seconds to load for me as well. Looking at the home page data it's huge at just over 3mb! - 76 Images - 2.3mb 21 Javascript calls - 0.6mb 9 separate CSS files - 0.2mb I think you really need to learn about basic optimisation: - optimise images to get the best possible file size - remove javascripts on any page you don't use them on (reduce http requests) - combine CSS into fewer files (reduce http requests) - if you can, minify JS and CSS (reduce http requests)
November 27, 201411 yr My first thought is "what is it you do?" Second, where is the menu, oh, ok there it is Next, the text is not concise Phone number and contact info needs to be at or near the top, the call to action at the end is great but some simply want to ask you questions by telephone. One of the issues I find with a site where you are not taken to other pages is that you can feel overwhelmed with the amount of information I was suddenly bombarded with, not my fav thing to do as you have probebly guessed
November 28, 201411 yr As has been said the page load time is unacceptable, You will begin to see a large increase in bounce rate for any page load taking longer than a second, the rate increaes exponentially there on. Reduce http requests, reduce any complexity that isn't needed, concatenate eveything, use sprites for any icons, be that svg sprites or whatever format you are using. Fuzzy is also spot on with his assessment. You need to have a clear message and goal for the target user. it's not just making it easy it's also about making them want to do it and feel good about doing so. another thing I notice in thge console I'm seeing a 404, and a bunch of javascript errors. When I look at the scripts being loaded there are multiple versions of jQuery being loaded this is uneccesary. There also seems to be a tonne of jquery plugins being used. There is nothing on the site that would be overlay complex or time consuming to code from hand, looking at what I see going on in the page it could probably be done with little more than 20kb. You currenty load 637kb of Javascript You're loading scripts like a slider, which is not even being used (and the boostrap js that you are also loading has slider functionality) I get the idea that the developer doesn't know js too well and has just thrown plugins at everything, which while it might work and look pretty it's really hurting the pageload performance, generating some errors and because they are not custom written will be difficult to modify if you wanted specific functionality. I recommend a maximum of 500kb of page weight, clearly less is better. and also keep those http requests down to a minimum, they are a real bottleneck on website performance. December 2, 201411 yr Author Hi guys, Thanks for all your replies, Actually this is not a single page website, if you click on the about us link on the header you will be taken to the inner pages and there are tons of inner pages, load time is an issue and because it seems as a one page website the bounce rate is also high.
December 2, 201411 yr because it seems as a one page website the bounce rate is also high. Ahh, I think you yourself have spotted another huge issue, that it's not clear enough that those pages exist.
December 2, 201411 yr Author Yes we are planning to change the site completely. I also wanted some suggestions based on the navigation and theme ideas. Currently, we are not getting much enquries, this is also an important aspect for me because, im doing the SEO for this site and people expects enquiries.
