I can't get traffic from social networking site

Featured Replies

Hello all,

hope all are fine, problem is I have submitted my site in site like digg, stumbleupon etc. but i didn't get huge and consistent traffic from them, from stumbleupon I got 352 hits a day but it just only one time I got those hits and from digg I just had 12 hits -_- Who said that social networking sites are the source of constant traffic ?

If someone knows how to get hits from those website please tell me.

Thanks

And remember, if no-one's interested in what you're saying, they're not going to digg it.

It's also the quality of the traffic you want to monitor. No point having 1000 visitors if they're not doing what you want them to (register, shop, click adverts, etc) when a well targeted campaign will often yield better results.

You could do worse than build up your friends list on digg, then send a shout out when you've written something - http://digg.com/users/jofffff ;)

Sometimes of course you can have compelling, popular and high-quality content that get's thousands and thousands of views but people are lazy and ungrateful even though it has helped them out! ;)

Here's a classic example of something that's under Dugg!

(Appologies to those who have dugg it)

thanks to all

Writing for Digg or stumbleupon/delicious specifically shouldnt be your target, by writing compelling, pillar content which is insanely useful and resourceful will naturally do well in the sites mentioned. Incorporate links to relevant content, thereby building awareness of your content within other related niches, possibly opening up your site to other audiences.
