January 12, 201412 yr Hi Guys. Looking for personal opinions on eccomerce software. I kmow there isnt such thing as the best and its all based on personal preferences. Im lookin for a PHP eccomerce solution, im really swayed towards opencart but it could get expensive with Addons etc. Looking for peoples thoughts.
January 12, 201412 yr No there's no such thing as the "best" one. You will find people mentioning some of the popular systems but that won't always mean they are the best for for your business, site and customers. There are literally 100's of ecommerce systems available catering for virtually any tyep of selling and product. What you need to do is write down a shopping list of all the features you want, both now and in the future. Once you have your list then you can start comparing different systems to find the best fit. It's also worth setting yourself of budget for software purchases. Sure you can use some shopping carts free of charge but as you say buying addons can start getting expensive, it's often more cost effective to buy into a good system for £300, as opposed to using a free system then finding you have to spend £600 on addons to get it working the way you want.
