Featured Replies

Hi di hi,

Should I be flattered by Jamie Cressey of http://jingledesigns.co.uk who has stolen not only my site but my work....check it out at Jamie Cressey of jingledesigns.co.uk is aweb design stealer!!! in case you missed that its Jamie Cressey of jingledesigns.co.uk plagiarises designs!!! and one more time for good measure Jamie Cressey of jingledesigns.co.uk is a very bad designer who steals others hard work!!!

So what do you think, is it as perfect as mine, I just thought I would warn you in case your hard work pops up on "their web site portfolio!!!!"

Seriously though this person has no right to do what they have done!!!!! Even the text has been stolen (yes not a bad thing as it isn't well written but still, how can a site that is 3 days old celebrate a first birthday  )

Also I should say a big thanks to 1christopher for showing me this.

:-O excuse my french, but what a ****ing moron! Cheeky *******.

I'm sure there's some black list websites where you can submit this type of stuff to. Have you contacted him? The threat of legal action soon puts the ****ters on someone

well at least he kept my name and link in the front page copy, so he's not all bad ;)

A round of nasty emails from everyone is in order, I think?

Damnit! What a %&$%&$!!!!!!

They say that it's the biggest compliment when someone steals your work, but it certainly doesn't make it feel any better!

Have you got in touch with him yet to demand he takes it all down?

He's definitely not going to be getting anything from WDF…

Poor you! It looks incredibly identical to your design.

But yours was featured in Smashing Magazine!... months ago. There's the proof.

Hope you've filled his mailbox with your dissatisfaction ;-)

Wow Dizi that is like an exact mirror - that's even worse than a rip! I do have to admit that it is a lovely design but he has no right to just nick it.

Contact him saying that if its not taken down immediately then you will take it to a higher authority.

What a moron!

You can use Copyscape to see if anyone has stolen your work.

Well it seems all that is left now is the my favicon, which he better remove as well.

I better get an apology off them as really did they think they could get away with it. I mean stealing my web design is one thing but my work as well that's just beyond a joke.

Well I checked the link to Jamie Cressey's copy 10 mins ago and then send him an email.

Just checked his site again, and he has JUST removed it. Hope he's feeling suitably ashamed :-)

HA!!! you know what, I got a strange PM on here last week asking me what font I used on my footer. So I guess in a way I aided the theft of my site :pp. I was even nice to them and apologised that it took so long for me to PM back :pp

what a dick, did you get a screenshot? Can you post it as its removed now

got to http://dizidesigns.co.uk and change my name to their name and dizidesigns to their site and you will have a copy of it. Seriously Jake except for a few changes in the text it was a mirror of my site, including all my work. Even down to then saying they were celebrating their sites first year, I really should change that though as it is over a year and a half now

Jake, if you want to see what it looked like, look at dizi's little space on the web, then globally change "Helen Harris" to "Jamie Cressy" and "Dizi Designs" to "Jingle Designs" and that's about it!

He didn't even change the images, text, meta tags in the source code. The only thing he did change was the page tracker at the bottom of the html.

wow, btw i entered your site on copyscape and it says theres no copies

that'll be because it was only released today.

there could be many Jamie Cressey so lets not jump to conclusions that its the same person. I went to school and was in the same year as another Helen Harris, that was funny as they would always mess up out time tables :pp

As the site is down and I have had an apology over it I will consider this matter closed :)
