Yet another Logo.....

Featured Replies

This is my first post on the board! I wish I had known this piece of internet real estate had existed a lot earlier!!

So anyways, I am doing a logo for a distribution center (redeye distribution), and wanted to get some input from some fellow designers, just a simple "yeah, that's nice", or "no, just quit" works. Slap it on me.

Welcome to the forum! Hope you enjoy it here :)

The first logo looks like an eye, best out of the three, I think (if the intention is to make it look like an eye). The others are still good, but look more like a target?

I agree with teodora, considering you are going for the concept of an eye, the more logical one to choose would be the first one. I just think it needs to be more elliptical - making the inner circle thinner may have a better effect IMO

'ello and welcome to the forum :D

I don't want to poo-poo your parade but I'm not sure if the logo conveys the brand in the right way. I looked at the logos before reading your post and didn't really associate this with a distribution company or eye initially.

I have to stress that I'm not saying your option "no, just quit" - the opposite actually.

For me it's the third as it represents a location identifier to some extent, although I had to look for it. I'm not suggesting cliches of using arrows in your design or suggesting you look at the FedEx one as everyone does but perhaps you could build upon the concept of fusing an eye with a marker of a map without it being too complicated. Sure that sounds complicated, but I think in practice it could work. Playing too much on eyes and arrows may lead you up the path of pharmaceutical design ;)

That's my view so take with a pinch of salt or a slice of lemon - whatever tickles your fancy :D

I have to agree with 4li4s, I think you have made it far more complicated than it needs to be, I did not realise its suppose to be an eye until I read your post let alone what its suppose to represent.check out the work of Paul Rand an absolute genius when it comes to logo design, then check out the tips he gives too. I do however stress that 'obvious' works even if most designers disagree so don't be put off by the thoughts of arrows etc because recognition and familerarity are very important parts of branding

Hah! These are the kind of responses I was hoping to see. I've been staring at this thing for so long, it's literally become literal. Awesome feedback guys!!

The third one is ok, but I felt something familiar with your works at the first glimpse and then I realized these three logos remind me of someone's eyes in Manga Naruto...

Hey Biel,

Why don't you try and combine a symbol of the distribution industry with the eye symbol. This way the final logo will have more meaning for the customers.

Good luck!

Your approach to create the logo is really praiseworthy. I like the third one, it looks professional.
