its OK, my main issue from just a quick glance at the home page is the logo, it looks slightly blurred and pixelated and doesnt suit the site

Yeah I agree, the logo is very pixelated. Also with your portfolio, I had to copy and paste the addresses whereas I would prefer to to be able to just click on a link, but other than that not bad :good:

Have to agree about the logo

also: This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional!

Good luck in the process of finishing your page.

It's a nicely presented site you have there. I noticed that your W3C buttons have a blue border... I don't think they're supposed to be there.

Also, on your contact us page, you have a contact form and your email address - I always thought the reason for using a contact form was to prevent bots from spamming your email address...

The blue gradient on your navigation buttons is different from the blue/gray gradient you have on the bar just below that, which is different from the blue in your header. Try to make the color pallet more uniform.. my favorite blue you have up there is the the blue text you have in the headings.

Wow! thanks every one for the feed back. I know lots of the pictures are pixelated through resizig in html. This is simply because I am not going to (or wasn't going to) resize them all properly until the layout was definate. It now is and all the images will be re.done from the originals. The logo also is the old comany logo. in effect, just there as a place holder!

kenv - I am afraid I have to say you are wrong. All the pages are xhtml 1.0 transitional. I dont know if you were looking at this when I was messing with it and perhaps one or two changes temporarily knocked out the compliance but I have just checked every page and the all pass validation! thanks for noticing though, the final site will all be permanantly complient!

Helen - I was messing with the bottom part of the page with all the links yesterday. I was copying all of that section into a seperate table for ease when making new pages. It should now work, but thanks for spotting!

EDIT: Helen I just realized what you meant. There will bo a link to each site in the portfiolio, one of those little jobs on the list. I was thinking twice about this as most of the sites are hosted on the same server as my site. It isnt good to have a load of sites on one server all linked, googlebot gets suspicous and can mark you down for it.

notbanksy - The blue lines (purple once visited) are as a result of them being new and have not yet coded out by use of CSS. this was an oversite! - Thanks very much!

gdehms - Thanks for your comments, I really do appreaciate it. I am going to say though, I simply disagree, from a design perspective the wide colour palette is diliberate. All the colours are tonaly related but by have the diversity I have been able to move the eye through the site at diagonals. Desirable to me if no you. Again I do appreciate your comment!

Thanks again everyone!

Really really nice design - I like it a lot, looks very professional. Only thing that I would say is that the footer is a bit spammy (IMO) - I would put the related links to external sites on another page, and expand the rest of whats there to the width of the layout - and take the borders off the W3C logos

Just me though, and as I said - I like it!

On the eCommerce section, I would change the phrase 'disabled users.' to something like 'Accessible' or 'Accessibility in mind.'

'disabled users' just isnt sitting right.. It doesnt really tell me anything.

I think the main idea is great, the basic design looks clean. However I want to reiterate what other people have already pointed out - the logo looks very mismatched: and I want to go further and say that you could benefit from making the links look a little cleaner. By "cleaner" I mean that the background for the rounded links looks a bit too much, and actually does nothing to enhance the "round" feeling the rest of the site has. I'd work on making them look a little less photoshopped.

The "start here" hover effect is also a bit too much; I like the background color change - maybe just do away with the bold and underline alltogether?
