wordpress books?

Featured Replies

Alright, you guys finally caught me of going to use Wordpress.

So, I currently use Wordpress for a week right now and it seems okay to work out and around the lines together with Wordpress instead of using the MVC standard.

However, I noticed that restyling a design might get tricky.

Today after looking where the header has been placed so I could change it to a slideshow, I kinda got stuck right there already.

So I'm looking for a wordpress book for the webdesign part so I can adjust some stuff here and there on mine own.

The reason is that I just don't want to crash down the entire project and I must re-start it all.

I live in Europe and for a small payment I don't mind for some nice online stuff.

The first book that i got was the smashing magazine wordpress book - its very good but when i first got it the php was to advanced for me but i can recomend it now.

I got digging into wordpress and that book really taught me the ropes.

I've never used a web design book in my life, why purchase something that is out of date the moment it is printed. Everything you need is online, tutorials, forums and your own initiative is all you need.

I found out how to make custom WP themes first by playing around with an existing theme (twenty twelve in my case) then styling a bare bones theme. the blank theme I use is here
