July 11, 201214 yr Successful website stories point on very important factor that is a number of returning visitors. Websites rely on returning visitors that account for a major part of their traffic. It is easier to convert a returning audience into paying customers as a result of the more often they tend to return to a site, whether it is a blog or an online shop, the more trust they gain on each visit. What do ou think which methods are the best to keep your visitors coming back? 1) Running a forum or a chatroom 2) Running a blog 3) Doing polls and surveys 4) Having onine-games 5) Frequently updating the content

Cheers Good point though, I also offer further discounts to customers who keep coming back for more. This is the best way of making them happy and ensuring they will come back again. July 23, 201214 yr Offer them complementary gifts! This would help you gain dual benefits. You get to attract the customers and also get to keep a little profit from the complementary goods. Now from the website's perspective, you could make the home page a little attractive and keep the navigation easy. Provide some facts on products so that users might be interested in. And most importantly have reviews on each of the product! I guess this should help.
July 23, 201214 yr Quite like the idea of providing online games to visitors. Would be interested to see if anyone has implemented this and what the results are/were?
July 23, 201214 yr Make the customers experience a positive one and they will return. Give them something that sticks in their mind and makes them want to come back whether they know it or not.
July 23, 201214 yr Depends on the market and customer base that you're intending to target. A company offering pensions and insurance might not benefit from online games as opposed to a paintball company. Again, for returning visitors it can highly depend on the market you're aiming for. Most cases, a blog will be enough. Informative, funny, unbiased blog posts can get that returning visitor. Merging online and offline marketing techniques will encourage brand loyalty. Offer discount schemes, referral packages, competitions etc etc. Engage with your audience on a personal level. Most of all, offer a product that induces returning customers. A clothes shop will have a higher rate of returning customers than say a web design company. Look at ways your product is valuable to them and tweak your sales copy for that. They'll return again and again if you have a good product or service

Home page must have interesting info to attract visitors, I confirm that + a good design is a must in this case. Online and offline promotion should be done periodically and constantly to build a strong brand, I agree.
July 26, 201214 yr One thing you could look at is actually capturing the user through email signup, facebook, twitter, linkedin, google plus fan pages. You could do this a range of ways post conversion, so after a online sale or after a submission form, just hit then with the good stuff 'join us on facebook for exclusive offers' or 'signup to our weekly news letter for amazing deals'. Once you got them start engaging with great content and hopefully fingers acrossed they like it, share it etc and this also generates new fans. This is worth a look if this sort of thing interests you - http://unbounce.com/lead-generation/post-conversion-strategies-for-lead-gen-landing-pages/

For some people it might work, I dont dispute, however it depends what the kind of business you do. Cheers Dream!
