May 30, 201214 yr yep the jquery seems like a waste of time to me. Took ages to find where to click to get it to scroll and as it wouldn't scroll with a mouse wheel it became annoying.
May 30, 201214 yr There's something about it i like however i think the header is totally out of place. It looks blocky where as everything else is quite elegant. Also, the page content is wider than the header, leaving bits sticking out here and there. My suggestion is move the logo and tag line so they're on the left above the sidebar and the same width and relocate your navigation elsewhere as what zed says is correct, it doesn't look like a nav and vanishes in to the mass of text.

It's the first thing I noticed and didn't like as it's not inkeeping with the rest of the site - looks like a freebie logo design. Your logo also has kerning issues! From a useability perspective the menu is less than obvious. Also on my large screen the website feels disjointed, the left hand column in stuck to the far left and pretty much out of view/to be ignored. Feels clumsy. The side content has a background, perhaps use something similar for your other content to make it easier to read against the background image? Also: "SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation it's an important term in Website Development. You'll want to be at the top of all the major search engine's be that Google, Bing or Yahoo." Sure you're not saying directly you can do that but you're implying something... and yet you've spammed 'key words' in your footer? Makes you look amateur. Edited May 30, 201214 yr by MMMedia

June 1, 201214 yr When I visit your site, I thought I would be able to click on the 3 words(»Fresh, »Clean, »Simple) in your about section, maybe you can make that clear that they ain't links or that they do give information or something when you hover over it. Cheers

June 5, 201214 yr The header at the side is extremely confusing, for me it has no purpose and ruins the design. I like the site more as you go down. Its simpler and easier to follow. At the top, due to the blocks and side header it makes your eye wonder too much and it should be the other way around. There should be something which pin-points your gaze to something. If you removed the side bar, people will focus on the slideshow more and it will have a better flow through the site. I think the background is what makes the design, and the way you use it.
June 7, 201214 yr Looking at a couple of the sites youve done, they seem anti-responsive. Most sites if not designed to be responsive, are scaled down by mobile devices. Yours arent responsive or dont scale down. This eliminates any mobile users wanting to visit your websites, which is a rapidly increasing percentage of browsers.
