New amateur website

Featured Replies

I have set up a new website for my promotions service, RyanPromotions, and am looking for reviews.

Can anyone possibly take a look at ryanpromotions.co.uk?

It is just an amateur site and I know it is not up to your normal standards, so can I ask you to bare this in mind.

Thanks in advance.

Imo it needs a lot more work. Its very bland and basic, which isnt always a bad thing, but imo it does need some sprucing up.

I am not keen on the times new roman font, and the red email address on a grey background.

Also loads of wasted space above the fold..

Sorry, but when people ask for feedback, ya gotta be honest yeah? :(

ok bearing in mind it's an amateur site...

the coding is awful, loads of Word looking styles in there.

the logo looks a bit like a tea room logo. the twitter logos is at the top and stands out more than your own logo

there's no real colour scheme to speak of - the grey, black and white is quite stark. it looks like something from years ago.

you have some grammatical errors ;)

the bottom line? i wouldn't trust someone to promote my business (and offer a basic website for it) from what i've seen your site.

I have to say i agree with the other guys. I didn't even notice the logo at first, which is a bad thing. If i were you, I would invest a little money with a web designer to build you a decent site. I would pay dividens in the future. If you can't stretch to a designer, how about buying a template from somewhere like theme forest and using that to build your site? This would be perfect for you , It would only cost you $35 , all you'd need to do is install Wordpress, (a lot of hosting accounts have one click installs, if not, wordpress is a breeze to install), up load the theme and add your content. Couldnt be easier.

There are a lot of guys here who are really excellent at this sort of thing on this forum, help is only a post away...

Thanks for the feedback, I do appreciate it, and will take another look. I don't know if you have seen my previous post, but I said I was lacking ideas, but I will keep trying new things until one works.

Thanks again

Definitely needs quite a bit of work as you probably know. Keep the colouring consistent and make sure the alignment is centered a bit more. Twitter link not working either.
