Wordpress Send Button doesn't work IE8

Featured Replies

Hi

I am struggling to get a button to work in IE8 however it works in all other browsers including IE8 compatibility mode. Has anyone else experienced this and has anyone go any suggestions on how to fix this. www.myfitnessfamily.co.uk is the link problematic site.

just tried the one on the Contact page using IE8 and it told me the message was sent.

The send button is part of a registration form I created. I have re styled the standard registration form in wordpress. It works in every browser accept IE8 in non compability. If you switch on compatibility mode it works.

Code below:

 <form name="registerform" id="form1" action="<?php echo site_url('wp-login.php?action=register', 'login_post') ?>" method="post">
     <h2>Register to Join</h2>
<fieldset>
<p>
	<label>Full Name (Joe Bloggs)<br />
	<input type="text" name="user_login" id="user_login" class="input" value="<?php echo esc_attr(stripslashes($user_login)); ?>" size="20" tabindex="10" /></label>
</p>
	<p>
	<label><?php _e('E-mail') ?><br />
	<input type="text" name="user_email" id="user_email" class="input" value="<?php echo esc_attr(stripslashes($user_email)); ?>" size="25" tabindex="20" /></label>
</p>
<?php do_action('register_form'); ?>
<div class="postcodetxt">
</div>
<p id="reg_passmail"><?php _e('A password will be e-mailed to you.') ?></p>
    </fieldset>
  	<br class="clear" />
<input type="hidden" name="redirect_to" value="<?php echo esc_attr( $redirect_to ); ?>" />
   <p class="submit"><button type="submit" name="wp-submit" ></button></p>
</form>

I have tried the contact form and this does not work for me. The browser I am using is IE8.0.6001

could it be done to the individual release of IE8... that is crazy... I am really stuck with this as I have my clients complaining they can't register....

I can confirm it doesn't work here on 8.0.6001.19170.

May have been an issue with that release. Quick solve would be to tell people to uprgrade as i can't see any particular issue in the wild that would cause a non functioning <button>.

Not sure which version XP users are stuck on but i'm sure it's a later release.
