Hello again!

 

I have a problem as im very limited for images to use on websites that I make for my self (Im currently making a portfolio site. I notice most images need to be paid for. Are there any sites that offer royalty free images? Is it worth signing up to a site like www.istockphoto.com and just paying for high quality just what I want images?

For the record, Royalty-free doesn't mean Free, it means you don't have to pay royalties on it. Most royalty-free photos still require payment to use.

Search for share & share alike cc licenses on flickr.

 

I upload all my images under a non-commercial creative commons license, people are free to use them as they wish as long as they aren't selling them on.

 

If you want to use images like this just link the image back to the persons flickr file and you're golden.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking of may be getting my own camera just after christmas but I wouldnt want to go much over £100 with me being in a part time job and limited for cash as well as being my first camera.

Im just thinking I cant do everything, lol. Its like a car mechanic doesn't make his own car parts. Im a web designer not a photographer but it would be fun I guess.
