April 20, 200818 yr I half expected you to be joking when you said you had it ready! I love how to me everyone's lists don't really mean much more than the name of an artist and track, but to each of us every song in our own list means something and has memories attached to it. *sits back and contemplates further*

April 21, 200818 yr Author I don't know, maybe it depends on your definition of chill out music As I would consider these chill out on my list: 4. Lets Face the Music – Fred Astaire 6. The Four Seasons - Vivaldi 9. Spirited Away – Joe Hisaishi and only Sigur Rós from yours but I haven't heard Ben Folde and Pendulum before, the rest I personally wouldn't see as being chilled out.
April 21, 200818 yr Didn't see the old Vivaldi there, nice one! I wasn't saying all my music is chill out, I just hadn't noticed any on other people's lists — but you're right, it does depend how how you define chill out. My definition is something, usually electronic (think "The Planets" or Mike Oldfield) or acoustic, something atmospheric and ambient, that allows you to close your eyes and get transported to another place. I think I'm a secret hippy!? On my list I'd class 3 albums as chill out (Ben Folds, Sigur Rós, and BT) and on the tracks 5 are chill out (Ben Folds, Sigur Rós x 2, Breaking Benjamin, The Postal Service). I certainly wouldn't class Pendulum as chill out, drum and bass anyone!? *grabs glow sticks and raves*

You've just forgotten cos I posted it so damn quick!

April 21, 200818 yr Wow, I need to get myself some of that! Thanks man Glad you like it, sir! If you decide to buy the album (called Passing Stranger BTW) make sure you get the one with the bonus disc of string quartet arrangements (prod. John Leckie). It's a real treat!
