Wasn't sure which section to post this in, but wanted to know if anyone could recommend any qualifications worth doing in web design/development either beginner or advanced.

 

One I have looked at is an ICS Diploma in Web Design.

 

I used to do the Open University Certificate in Web Applications Development but never completed all the courses and I think they are now discontinuing it.

I was going to suggest the OU one - I've done a few courses in that myself, though, also, didn't finish it fully. Are you looking for a qualification to impress a potential employer with, or just to learn more skills? If the latter, then I think the web is awash with tutorials and I'd advise starting at the http://www.w3schools.com/w3c/default.asp

Web designing is the complex process of designing the web graphics,programming and developing the web content.There are no formal qualifications to become a web designer,first and foremost quality for a web designer is creative skill along with good knowledge in web technologies such as PHP,j Query and Ajax.However a formal training in web designing would add value to your career.

Web designing requires no knowledge in PHP,Jquery or ajax ur thinking of web development

As per my view and 2 years of experience i have never faced any prolem by qaulification and there is no need any qualification for becoming an expert web designer and web developer you just focus on your logic power and take training from any classes.

Like the posts above, I would like to reinforce that unless you are looking for credentials to impress, you're better off using the web. All of the tutorials and information you could ever need are right at the tips of your fingers - use them!

Your questions is bit confused for me. Are you looking for the diploma in web designing or you have done with it.???
