This thread is primarily aimed at individuals who are comfortable in both Photoshop and Fireworks. I am currently very familiar with Photoshop, but not so much with Fireworks. I have seen from several videos I have watched that many professionals have made a switch in favor of Fireworks over Photoshop for designing websites. I have tried doing some research, but have found that the majority of comparisons on the web are out of date. I have found that Fireworks actually seems to be a program created for web design specifically, whereas Photoshop is primarily for.. well, photos. My question then becomes, long term would it be more beneficial for me to spend my time in Fireworks or Photoshop? Do you believe that one program has any real benefit over the other at this point in time (in terms of designing website mockups, slicing for the web, and really anything related to web design)? As someone who is trying to decide which program to use, ultimately which one would you recommend to me?

I am designing a website for a coding library made by an acquaintance of mine. I would like to know if you believe I have capture the overall mood I was hoping for. The library that this website is being designed for is known for being simple, efficient, and useful. I tried to incorporate these ideas into the website. I've gone for a very minimalist approach which is appealing to view and use. The purpose of the website is to briefly explain what the library is and then provide a link to download it. Like the posts above, I would like to reinforce that unless you are looking for credentials to impress, you're better off using the web. All of the tutorials and information you could ever need are right at the tips of your fingers - use them!

I have a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD, and boy is it a breeze to use. The boot time alone would be enough for me to want to buy it again, let alone the all around practical uses. I could never go back to a hard drive, and that's not even an exaggeration. I'm not so sure if I would recommend this SSD to someone who would simply use it for work - it's a bit overkill in a situation like that. For anyone who is an avid gamer or whose work requires the transfer of large files, it's a beauty.
