After many years of fighting and sticking with Safari this week I'm finally ditching it and moving to Firefox!

I've been a big Safari fan for many years on the mac (despite its bad points) I really did love it but recently I've found it to drag as bad as I.E to get any decent speed I have to check permissions once a week and its just annoying. Its not a memory issue my macbook has 4Gb while my imacs to powermacs have a mix of 8GB - 32GB so hardware wise its not an issue and this is across platform OS X Tiger - Lion G5 - Intel.

Don't know if its just me or if anyone else has noticed this MAC users now?

So enough a enough firefox it is, we had some fun safari but its just time for us to move on. :friends::clapping:

Good move, you won't regret it!

Ive always had Firefox installed on my mac so I haven't really used Safari much, I don't think its a bad browser though, but it does lack in extensions.

I've liked the history in safari reminds me of time machine

I'm a Chrome girl myself, but often have FF open too (and then regret not having had ie open sooner when it comes to checking any sites!)

FF takes an age to load up compared to FF for me (a few seconds difference really but im an impatient git..)

I also much prefer the 'feel' of Chrome... whatever that means.

+1 for Chrome here too. Firefox is always open too but runs through a proxy server so the GF can plan the same game online as me without us being listed as account sharing.

That's pretty much the only time I use it, or to test a site in more than one browser.

Chrome's definitely snappier for me too

Another +1 for chrome here, for my daily drive browser. Sure it uses a tad bit more memory than FF does but you can feel the difference in speed.

I have the FF Nightly builds installed for the web dev toolbar and noscripts etc. I can see that the speed of FF is improving from that.

Nightly is on build 9.0a where i think the actual release of FF is 6.0(something)

I quit Safari recently and moved to Chrome which I'm pretty impressed with. I still use Firefox but only to take advantage of a recommended SEO toolbar when I'm link building. Explorer doesn't even get a look in, poor sod.
