Gradient fade

Featured Replies

Hi I have been working created a background image with a gradient that fades into a particular colour and then my wrapper I have made the same colour however I noticed that in fireworks they blend smoothly but when in a browser with the wrapper set to the same colour there is a distinct line and they do not blend. Anyone know why this happens and how to fix. Cheers

thats because the gradient running into the solid colour when the gradient runs out isnt the same colour as the very bottom pixel of the gradient when it runs out, try viewing it in different browsers to see if the colours right, if i put a gradient now and a colour at the bottom so they flow into each other, for example, firefox would show it flowing nicely and internet explorer wouldnt, its asif they change the colour of the image or solid colour slightly, i had the problem a while back, youll have to use conditional if ie statements and set the colour to what it should be in ie and then obviously the same for if !ie

A link would be helpful.

Make sure when you export the image that you haven't let Fireworks include colour pallet information. This can sometimes make different browsers render the colour of an image differently.
