March 30, 200818 yr Have you seen the latest buzz around the domain selling world? Pizza.com is currently being sold on SEDO for $2.5 Million ! Here's a link if your interested! (Or perhaps want to buy it) https://sedo.com/auction/auction_detail.php...&partnerid= *Goes off to look for potentially valuable domains*...
March 30, 200818 yr Holy crap!! I bet it's fairly certain who is bidding for it Thing is, though, what use is a cool domain like that for a pizza company? The only business they make from their websites is from people that want local delivery, right? So all the SEO and extra visitors from a short domain like that would be wasted, unless they piled on the ads. Not sure $2.5million is worth the cool factor of owning pizza.com
April 12, 200818 yr omg! It sold for 2,605,000 USD!!! Thats insane... Just had a look at the site, and to be honest that site dosn't look like its work all that haha, but the domain is clearly worth that to someone
April 13, 200818 yr OMG! Iv'e just had a look at the site! Wow! You would think they would have paid for a decent web designer!! LMAO!
April 13, 200818 yr … someone has more money than sense! I agree Rob. You would think that if you pay that for a domain name that you would have a very clear corporate stratergy all laid out and ready to go to start maximising your returns and several franchises to get up and running to create a corporate brand that you can sell around the world. Looking at the copy - it looks like they have almost run out of ideas what to include - and ploncked any old thing in there so long as it has something to do with pizza. Amazing.... Shall I email them and ask?? lol
May 5, 200818 yr … someone has more money than sense! There are plenty of people I know that fall into that category and they'd have trouble scraping together £50!!!
May 5, 200818 yr I was looking forward to seeing what happened to that site...err...what has happened to it, I got lost on it? I mean is there a point to the site, as it doesn't seem like there is.
