March 22, 201115 yr dont think this its possible if the text is all one layer, SO would have the be a different layer "ctrl + t" to stretch it then add the effect separately that's how i would do it anyway hope i helped

March 22, 201115 yr should be yes "ctrl + t" will stretch the text so you can imagine if you stretch it so much it will look crap you could also use "ctrl + t" and then keep your finger on the shift key and then try and stretch (think that also changes the height as well) im not at home so cant get on photoshop to try it myself sorry :/
March 22, 201115 yr Do it in illustrator. Photoshop is an amateurish way to make a logo unless you are using vector shapes, but even then the results will not be nearly as sharp as with illustrator. Something like this would be much easier with the pathfinder tool in Illustrator, anyways. Oh... and never stretch type for a logo.

March 24, 201115 yr Author struggling wiht this ctrl + t method, cant get it to do antyhing... anybody no another way?
March 24, 201115 yr Right click on the text layer and click "Rasterize Type" - Then select the bits you want to pull apart and then press CTRL+T.
March 24, 201115 yr Author be a man and pentool it!!!! Im more of a fireworks bloke btw! If i pen tool it, ill have to apply all the effects on it and then it will look dogey being over lapped, i could sort that out in fireworks but still. im not great with the pen tool!

March 27, 201115 yr might have to download the trail for that 2night if ps fails then! If you are making a logo you should be using illustrator anyways. Grab the trial and start learning, it's the professional route.
March 27, 201115 yr Personally I'm in the pen tool way of thinking. If I was doing that I'd convert the text to a path and muck around with that with the pen.
