December 15, 201015 yr Numberous of times I have encounterd tons and tons of topics regarding IE is bad stand alone if IE 6 was removed. People now a days use browsers as Mozille Firefox, Opera, Chroome and some others. Now I have been using IE almost mine entire live[well since there was an IE4] As far I have never encounterd any bugs, virussen or problems[no problems with the websites] regarding with this browser. I don't use any addons because the features of ie4 is more then enough for me beside all this, it load the pages with the same speed as it does with other browsers. Now before I get flamed all over inside and out here from try to use a different browser. Let me tell you that I have, Mozilla and Opera. Despise the extra features I don't see any differents and I'm always find mineself back of using IE4. I do use the other browser to check if mine webdesign codering are correct. So serious tell me where the bugs are cause I havn't encounterd any of it .
December 17, 201015 yr Author You're joking right? Nop, I still use it and don't have any issue with it. They mention the amount of bugs but I bet 100% sure the websites I visit looks exactly the same as in ie4 and firefox:). That's why the topic
December 17, 201015 yr U serious? I mean I got all those IE's from year 1846 installed, but below version 6 I just start em to have a good laugh, even msn.com crashes the whole browser.
December 18, 201015 yr That`s IE 8. You're on windows 7, right? It gets shipped with IE8. It would have been some effort to install the old IE's in Windows 7 or Vista.
December 19, 201015 yr I thaught browser version 4.0 is ie 4? oh well then I apologize IE4 looked something like this:
December 23, 201015 yr There definitely is some confusion here. The outer browser in your image is definitely not IE4, it's a much later version although I can't see much of it because of the smaller open windows. I can't see the compatibility button next to the refresh button so it may be IE7. The left hand smaller window says Browser Code Name: Mozilla Browser Name: Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser Version: 4.0 (compatible MSIE 7.0, ..........) I think that refers to (Mozilla) Firefox. Have you got Firefox version 4 beta? The right hand window is Firefox.
December 23, 201015 yr IE4 was bundled with windows 95 and possibly an early version of 98. So unless you are using one of those chances are that it isn't IE4 you are using. As said above if that is windows 7 you are using then its going to be either ie7 or 8 that came with it and if you keep your updates up to date then its more than likely version 8. Maybe you looked at the update version number instead of the browser number, that could explain the confusion.
