I'm thinking about downloading software to help build wireframes and prototype (pseudo-functional) web pages.

 

Can I ask please what software you use for doing this and can you recommend anything in particular.

 

I have looked at the Axure software (http://www.axure.com/) which looks pretty good.

Its depends what you need it for. If its just layout, then I just use photoshop with coloured rectangles. I'm not sure what you mean by pseudo-functional. Which bits do you want to function??

Only one I've ever tried is Balsamiq. Works a charm by the looks of it, I didn't delve too deep into it though.

I use Cacoo which is fully online and works ace

mockingbird is good but doesn't do interactivity. not free either
