think about what key word is important to search for website. eg Thai food

 

title tag = Thai food (not same for all page)

meta description: Thai food is good and can be found on Thailand (make sure not same for all page?

meta keyword: thai food, thai food Thailand, thai food bangkok

H1 tag: Thai food (only use h1 tag one time for ach page)

h2: Thai food recepie (use for like catgory)

h3: Pad Thai (use for title of category)

h4 to 6 like same but less important.

 

- use name for alt on picture

- make sure content is unique

- have some word in your content link to another your page.

That is all I know

These days Onpage and offpage both techniques are using for SEO. In an onpage meta tag creation, xml sitemap creation, RSS creation, Robots file creation and much more, and as for offpage optimization directory submission, forum posting, article submissions, blog submission, press release, SMO, classifieds ads submissions and much more.

alt attributes

keywords

description

content

h1/h2 tags (heading tags)

All the above points pf course depend on just how competitve your niche is...

 

For example, if you are trying to optimise a shop that sell cheap gold gewelery, then optimising the meta title, description, keywords, h1 through to h6, content, imgs and links will do naff all...

 

What you should do first is search for keyphrase in the search engines and jot down the number of search terms the keyphrase. As a general rule, the higher that number is, the more difficult it will be to get your website found within the first top 10 results of the search engine.

 

i.e. "SEO" returns something like 200,000,000 results, so doing basic optimisation on that keyword is not enough. You will need to undertake massive natural/organic link building stratagies, social media oprtimisation, marketing, article marketing and much more.

 

On the other hand the keyword "citrine crystals for sale" brings back 213,000 results, so you are more likely to get a website about that found in the search engines because of the low competition...

 

The sooner people realise that SEO is not just about plonking keywords in title tags, and h1 tags (which holds about as much weight and the bold tag) the better... because getting bad advise from a unexperieced SEOs/SEMs can seriously damage your chances within the search engines.
