Hi everyone,

I now have a Wordpress based site but used to have a standard html/css based one with a sitemap. I have logged into my Google webmaster tools and found this:

Click!

I presume that now I don't have my index.html any more there are some links that are not following. I could great another index.html saying we have moved but everyone who visit my site would have to go through this, slowing things down. Any ideas on what I can do please?

Thanks

huzzah! There is a 301 redirect Wordpress plugin- all sorted now, thanks!!

Hi Snoogins,

Whilst the redirect works it may not pass all the link juice to the correct (canonical) URL. So for example, you have a link in your profile above without the www's included. It is best to make sure your linking structure is consistent around your site and from any external links. That will avoid any wastage of link juice!
