January 12, 201016 yr I depends who I'm talking to really. Normally I would say web designer because it's easier than having to explain what a developer does. But my official title is IT/ICT software systems engineer.
January 12, 201016 yr At the moment I do a bit of designing and a bit of serverside coding - although more coding than design as thats what I'm lookin to get into after uni. So kind of the same as Jmz above - depends who I'm speaking to - not all non-techy people know what a developer is!
January 28, 201016 yr In the past I've labeled myself as "web designer and developer" but now I'm leaning more towards web developer as I spend much more time on the developing side of things.
January 28, 201016 yr all these titles have different meanings so i use them when i have to ... and normally i use webdesigner ...
February 14, 201016 yr My title at work is web designer, mostly i just get funny looks and long silences when I tell ppl what I do(not quite figured out why yet) so depending on mood I change the title a little or explain. My bf's title at work (different studio) is back end web developer which always gets a giggle.
