I have been asked to make a website for a local scout group, and they want a section which they can update with news etc. What CMS would you reccomend as i've only ever used CushyCMS and Wordpress before now?

It depends what they want. If WP or Cushy are ok to handle their content why don't you let them play with some demos and let them choose? they then get to make an informed decision.

Thanks for that like Overdrive, I think I will use WP as knowing the person who will be updating it, they will find it easiest to use.
