In my view most of us have no choice but to use PPC. I guess you've noticed that if you search for something on Google these days the whole top half of the page is taken up by sponsored links or local business results from Google Maps. Even if you gain number 1 spot in the organic listing you will still have probably 10 links appearing before your listing for competitive search terms. This is diminishing the value of organic SERPs positions and Google haven't done it by accident.

 

Google now has us all by the nuts and we have no choice but to pay for clicks if your website operates within a competitive industry. I have actually scaled back my organic optimisation activities and focused almost solely on PPC and it is producing excellent results.

Aah - sorry dude - my bad. Should have read your original post more carefully.

 

I have considered this but decided there are too many issues surrounding checking the links remain in place after you've paid. Also, some of the sites I have seen selling links looked dodgy to me in terms of their link environment.

 

I am also reluctant to pay for links when there are still nice freebie ones to be had. In addition I am scaling back my organic optimisation activities anyway for the reasons I mentioned in my last post.

 

In short, it's not for me but that's not to say there isn't some benefit to be had by some webmasters.

You are running a risk paying for links, both from the search engines and from the other party simply nofollowing etc, as they are supposed to do.

 

As someone who runs a company that allows people to build backlinks in a link directory format, I can hand on heart say I don't see the need for anyone to be paying for individual links and run the risk of falling foul for paying for them.

Paid links are not allowed (according to Googles T's and C's)

 

Get links from a variety of sources and remember links that look like they were naturally created from a site that is relevant to yours is the way forward.

For me, building one way links your way is still the best. You can always get backlinks by blog commenting and social bookmarking on your own.

 

Also, article submission is also a great traffic generator as well as backlinks.

Some links could be in paid formats and yet buying them could definitely positively affect the rankings of the websites. For instance when you buy a link on the homepage of a PR6 website which is closely relevant to yours in theme and subject, that link even if expensive will help your site a lot.

Paid links are a very controversial subject. What is obvious is that buying links may lead to risks: Google is penalizing those who buy paid links. Moreover, paid links don't guarantee long-term results. "White Hat" SEO techniques are much more reliable and risk-free. However, "White hat" SEO demands time and patience.

If I were you I wouldn't worry too much about links anymore, just have some interesting content on your site and you're all set.

 

I know I have links on my site, but I'm currently performing a re-design an restructure of both my UI and my content, so it's all good.

Paid links are the solution for getting quick links and quick indexing for your site.But as i think organic traffic is the main use rather paid traffic for a web site.To get organic traffic for a web site is a time consuming process,Where are paid linking is an immediate process.With the paid links we can get back links with in one day.
