CMS for a car dealership

Featured Replies

I'm looking to develop a CMS for a car dealership website. Does anyone know of good CMS for car dealerships. This guy doesn't need a WYSIWYG editor. Basically he wants to log and edit records and upload photos.

Any suggestions would be helpful?

You could try something like CushyCMS as a basic cms to edit and add images to certain sections of a webpage or try Wordpress

Thanks for that. I was thinking of that but the guy who wants the site was looking for something very specific in that he didn't really want a WYSIWYG editor.

He has a website in mind www.johnmchughcarsales.com He was looking for something similar and I already had informaton stored in a MySQL database without any images. He wanted a system where he would log in and he would just see records and then he would click on it to add the information using the headings such as Make, Model etc.

I didn't think Cushy CMS could do that as I used it for a few other projects. I could be wrong on that.

You could possibly use a modified cart system. Displaying the cars shouldn't be much different form displaying products.

PM if you want any help.
