As the title says really! It's the most annoying task, creating thumbnails, and considering my site has around 400 photos on it...

 

Not sure if anything like this exists, but any Mac based program suggestions much appreciated

if you have Photoshop then you can do Batch or automated processes to create thumbnails

Ahhhh that's a shame... I do have a PC at hand but it's whether I can be bothered to go through the whole start up process or not

There's some web applications that you can use for creating galleries (I'm assuming that that is what you're really doing). Wikipedia has a list of them for you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of...allery_software

 

I use Coppermine, but it removes exif information, which is important for showing things like copyright details (and for me, the camera settings). Adobe LightRoom also creates a gallery, but I don't think it does thumbnails. You can get a 30 day free trial and see if it does. There's also a podcast (via iTunes) to help you understand and learn stuff about LightRoom (and there are others for PhotoShop, too).

Hey that looks good - I do have a Mac, will give that a go

I used Photoshop to convert a full folder and I've also just wrote a PHP script to convert whatever I upload into 4 separate image sizes (large, medium, small, thumb etc..) and it works great

If you have access to Dreamweaver from versions MX and above there is an option to export an image gallery, it'll create thumbnails and a load of HTML if you chose to use it.
