New website...

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, after quite a bit of work this last couple of weeks I've finished my latest website.

I had a few problems here and there but I got there in the end, I'm pleased with how my developing has come on lately. The archive page took ages but I'm really pleased with how it works and generally with the whole site. I'm not sure if any of you will remember the previous one but we had a lot of things we didn't need. I've cut it right down this time to the essentials.

Any feedback for the site is very welcome.

Thanks for looking - www.eattherich.co.uk

wow, thats a really nice designed website! love the layout and colours youve used.

tshirts are cool too

excellent design, just a few minor things though...

You've got a few validaton errors (missing alt tags in images etc).

I found it hard to find the shop, the two things that jump out when i look at the page is the logo and the blue text on the right. I would suggest altering the colour of the shop link because it didnt stand out for me to find it easily. Perhaps its because the red is a bit glarey against all that blue and white.

Also the headings in your shop page are grey on grey backgrounds making them difficult to see.

Appart from that... top notch site sir!

Beautiful colour scheme........and a gorgeous hunk too! *sigh*

Thanks for the comments everyone, they're much appreciated!

AJReading - I was so tired and keen to launch it last night I completely forgot to validate it, I've pretty much sorted it now - just a couple of little things as you said. Thanks for the feedback on links etc, I'll have a look into this. You'll see I've got a bunch of links all over the site taking you to the shop, I'll see how we do for now but I do appreciate your advice :)

Helen - Hunk huh? I hope you're talking about me or my brother and not one of the celebs in VOTW, haha :pp

Thanks again!

Absolutely spot on website. Very professional. This is the standard I am going for (not their yet, but will be). It validates too, well done. :).

This is the 2nd bright color on gray theme I've seen in the last 2 days... It looks spectacular.

Lovely site. Great colour scheme.

Lots of text but does not look too clutered.

I really like the colour scheme and simplicity of the design. The whole 'Magazine' look and modern style of the site make it fit its purpose perfectly.

I enjoyed browsing your site and I agree with previous posts that it looks very professional and eye-catching.

Are you going to leave the white background in the header?

Colours and presentation are good, though the front page is a bit too wordy for my liking - it's hard to read.

I though it was going to be a site about the legendary film though :(

Related to that, with all the text I'm not exactly sure where to start.

love it, i like how the bottom divs don't align in straight line, I'm defiantly into the Grey with one bright colour scheme too. (experimenting with it for my first portfolio site)

Yeah I really wasn't bothered about getting alignment at the bottom, I actually prefer them looking uneven - just fitting the content as they should. Thanks for the comment :)

Class design, looks sweet, i agree with bluereamer on his comment of the front page being too wordy, makes it a little hard to get your bearings of the site.

other than that i think its excellent work!!!
