There has been a huge boom of people rushing to buy links on website with High PR reading an article about Google Algorithm and the way it rates inbound links.

 

Basically if someone is selling 50 slots on their PR6 website then the value of a PR6 get's divisable by 50 links (plus the other outbound links on the page) - and gives a percentage of the PR6 importance to each link. So really you may only be getting the value of a website with a PR of 1 or 2. So don't think buying links on websites with high PR websites is the best thing to do to boost your own Page Rank, as it really won't.

No probs Ben, glad I could save you a good amount of money there. If that's your budget it may be worth trying to get some exclusive deals or perhaps sites with very few sponsored links on.

IMO, most buy paid links to get more traffic (specially targetted ones) to their site. For SEO purposes, best to focus more in link building that generates organic/natural links which is more favorable for PR building

I alse heard about buying old and expired domains for traffic.
