How do I create an entry page that only shows to 1st time visitors, I am creating a forum and would like to have a welcome page that shows when someone 1st visits the site, but after they have entered and registered they no longer see this page if cookies are enabled. Is this possible?

Yes however if it is restricted it requires the user to lie about their age if they want to access the only reason is the 18+ For UNI + Higher Ed students will not be moderated as strictly, so will allow topless pics, swearing ect. If I put on an age restriction at least I have made the site family friendly. I know that people will just put in any DOB but you can also confirm your old enough on porn sites ect if your 13, the wonderful free nature of the internet. I'll work on making it one board & separating the forums

OK So I'm setting up 2 new student communities The Home (for all students) The Pub(for students over 18) (USING PHPBB) I would like to know if it is possible for those registered on The Pub to be able to use their account in The Home, and vice versa for those registered in the Home + Over 18 to be able to use their account in The Pub. If anyone knows of how I can do this please let me know. Also if anyone has any free time and would like to help contribute to the development of these communities please, please let me know as it may take me a while to do this alone. Just been working on making a clear way home, most people will hover the top logo. Also working on staff area and improved logo quality.

Tabular format is fine as SEO is not required on all pages. Also the home page has been updated.

They don't allow you to keep your whois information private.

Thanks Andy. Good advice, I have tided up option 2 a little- main improvements still to come. I want to keep the rollover images for the style factor yet they seem to be a little to slow. anyways will work on it. Peace!

Hi everyone, my sites fully active however a little slow at the moment. Basically I am having trouble choosing between these two options for my home page: The faster loading neat but more basic screen: FAST & TIDY (OPTION 1) The Slower loading currently selected home page (looks a little better) CURRENT HOME (OPTION2) I just can't seem to decide out of these two what would be more beneficial to the site and its users

Thanks Ok I have edited the table and moved some things around to make the home page nicer, I have also remade the logo and favicon. Please note that users have additional benefits and there is even an option for more site editors to come on and add content improve layout ect. The forums are still very basic, however they seem to work without any bugs at the moment.

My personal view is that I like to take a Liberal view on drug users I don't think they ruin society. Of course I would also like to Identify the fact that some drugs are indeed very harmful to users and some are not so harmful. It has been argued by the BBC that some drugs that are legal are far worse and vice verse. I think the British public are mis-informed about these chemicals and I am compiling free information for them to see.

I think you miss understand the purpose of the website. It is information on Psychoactive plants and chemicals. If you look at any of the artwork produced by artists that used these chemicals as inspiration you will see a link look particularly at the art work of Steadman. Strange images are often produced this is actually designed as a monster. That Tokyo site you mention is Flash and SWF animation at its best The design is called Osiris of witch I do have rights to use.

I have edited the homepage of the site and the chemicals and plants are still in tables in the main a to z index as this is the tidiest way to keep them. Talk to Frank is a too uninformed and has limited content, the layout is ok but not brilliant, it would be a very poor decision to look at that before designing any site related or not. Thanks for the advice though, Forums to change soon and a tidy up of the A to Z
