Blocking links once visited
well u could place te link with text/image over the same text/image without link and than use the a:visited {display:none;} propably something like this <html> <head> <style type="text/css"> a.link1 {position:relative; top:-20px;} a.link1:visited {display:none} </style> </head> <body> <div> is this a link or not?<br /> <a href="#" class="link1">is this a link or not?</a> </div> </body> </html> it would propably work best with an image though

Framework or just php?
i think learning php for now should be best since you can always include a framework when your a bit more advanced with php. learning just a framework would not be usefull in the future when you want to learn something else, if youve learned php its easy to add other languages/frameworks.

mac vs pc
well ive been working on pc's for a long time now and ive never had a virus nor ever had to use an antivirus. its just a matter of how good you are with computers. same with the computer slowing down and whether u should buy a pc or a mac depends on alot more stuff than that actually, mostly on what u want to do on it, will it just be webdesigning or will it be used on other stuff?

if you want comfort and high specs id go for a razer, got a razer copperhead for quite some time now and only have good things to say about it. if you find it important to have 20 buttons on your mouse you'll need to go for another brand like logitech
