  1. Hello! I just got done with a freelance site and I would like some feedback on the design and any SEO tips you may have. I know that I need to write unique titles and descriptions for each page still and add in more alt tags. But if you guys know of any good link exchange or something let me know. Thanks! 2. Wow, great work!! Welcome to WDF!
  3. Try adjusting the height in the <td> tags in the html code. Just put in whatever you want each <td> to be example: <table> <tr> <td height="200px"> content here </td> </tr> </table>
  4. I think that would be cool.
  5. Didn't mean to offend you, just trying to help
  6. If you know the font is bad then you will regret using it, even if you paid for it its not worth it.
  7. You have some alignment issues, it bothers me that the words do not have a guide line on the right or left, they just end different places. Try making more of your words the exact same width. (The edge of the T hangs over and the S in tapas ends before the red line ends.) Nice colors, very strong. I dont like the font tapas is in though... when I look at the logo I dont think tapas, changing the font should help. maybe try adding some kind of symbol or icon like a spanish style sun graphic or take out box, or swirly. Hope that helps.
  8. I like the site, I think that the logo should link back home though
  9. Thanks! Any suggestions for me to improve? I know that I need to update my portfolio section by adding larger images in the lightbox view, but other than that I'm all ears.
  10. Having the client purchase the domain name and hosting is much more simple. Just have them forward you all the login info and you can go from there. That way is something goes wrong with hosting you will not be to blame and you won't have to pay for their hosting so your overhead is $0.
  11. As far as charging for web design. I have found that if you are competitive in your own market you will get more business. I charge about $1,500 for a 5 page site and because most places in my city charge starting around $5,000 I get more small business owners choosing to go with my freelance design business instead. Beware of not making a contract! Always have all your payment details agreed and signed on before you begin. I always require half of the total quoted cost upfront, that way you are not out all of your money and time if the client flakes out.
