October 15, 200817 yr Hey guys, Just a quick question - I'm having a problem with tables in Dreamweaver (I've linked a video below to demonstrate what I mean). Basically, if you look at the video, you can see I can't move the row up any higher on both the rows I try, but I can drag them down. Any ideas how to solve this? Here's the link: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=udPnTbIn49U Thanks, and a nice forum you've got going here!
October 15, 200817 yr We will need to see the website code, as dreamweaver design mode is rubbish and you shouldn't rely on it to create websites. so could you post the code of your site so we can actually see what is going wrong.
October 15, 200817 yr Try adjusting the height in the <td> tags in the html code. Just put in whatever you want each <td> to be example: <table> <tr> <td height="200px"> content here </td> </tr> </table>
October 15, 200817 yr Author Hi there - thanks for the replies. I tried adjusting the height but it only seemed to work if I was making the number higher and not lower...here's the code: <table width="800" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td width="22" height="9" align="left" valign="top"> </td> <td width="157" align="left" valign="top"></td> <td width="16" rowspan="3"> </td> <td width="349" rowspan="2" align="left" valign="top"><br><p><strong>Efficient, friendly and cost effective</strong><br> Burfield MOT & Service Centre is a well run local garage serving Hailsham and the surrounding areas, providing an excellent service for all motorists. </p> <p><strong>MOT's for just £35 </strong><br> At Burfield MOT & Service Centre, we offer MOT's for just £35 - we also have spaces for MOT's everyday. October 15, 200817 yr Just had a quick look through the code, and dropped it in dreamweaver. ITs because the two images either side of the center column. You cant make the height of the table LESS then the heigh of the images. If that makes sense?
October 15, 200817 yr Author Oh okay...I guess that's what happens when you slice it all up in Photoshop...I'll have to try and learn another way - thanks!
