Hi All, I am working for a charity that deals with Jaguar Conservation in the jungles of Nayarit, Mexico. They raise money for their work through giving bird watching and jungle tours. There are several tours that run, each one has a set day of the week. There are a limited amount of places on each tour. I believe 9 at the moment, but I need to check that. We need a booking system that ideally has a drop down of upcoming dates for each tour. I've been experimenting with some booking systems but none them seem to do what we want. Free is best as this is a new NGO on a tight budget until they start getting these tours running. But will consider anything that does the job. Thanks in advance for all your invaluable help! Smoobu just changed the way it works. It used to link a lot more smoothly and better than normal Ical integration with Air Bnb. Now it can only link using Ical. Any other suggestions on a good booking system? We have investigated the above suggestions by Jack (thank you Jack), but my client is has particular needs and each was missing something. Do any of you have experience with Air Bnb clones, Magento etc?

Hi All, Does anyone have any experience linking up a booking system that syncs with other third party websites as well as integrates well into a Listings type website? We are currently considering using WordPress Hotel Booking Plugin by MotoPress. https://hbdemo.getmotopress.com/#_ga=2.147941618.434590906.1531525386-1073671134.1531525386 but would love to be able to integrate it into something like Listing Pro: https://placespro.listingprowp.com/ Or another platform like that. Any ideas on how tricky that would be? Or do you know of another "listings" type website which would be able to handle it?

Any other sites that provide similar services like Smoobu? Multi calendar linking, multi room booking, etc. Client is saying she wants something cheaper if possible,.............

To manage the switching, whilst considering the SEO aspects, and to make it easy for future updates too. Just figured that there was probably a decent one out there. Would you recommend another method? I have heard things about making duplicate sites in different languages but have no experience with that. Any feedback or advice welcome. Thanks!

We will write the translations between us. We don't want it automated. SEO is also an important consideration here

I am being asked to create a three language website. The first one will be in English and then we will translate it into French and Spanish. We have French and Spanish speakers that work for the company so they will be able to provide the translations (we don't want to rely on anything automated as they often are not very good). Can anyone recommend a decent plugin for this?

Thanks Jack, I'm aware of having to swap the Ical link codes back and forth between air bnb and the pinpoint booking system. I assume it works that way between expedia, trip advisor etc too (with air bnb). It's just that Pinpoint can only sync with Air Bnb. I was hoping that if everything synced up well with Air bnb that info would be passed back to the website. But the customer care guy seemed to think it would only sync back sales made by Air bnb and not those days received to it from trip advisor etc. The client knows she will have to pay something for it and has accepted that now. We just need a decent solution. The original quote was just to sync with Air bnb, so I may have to point that out to her. But as always with these projects, things get added on as we go along.

I've got to put together a Real Estate Website for a client. They use a system called FlexMLS which is a database that stores lots of properties in the area (and world wide). Various other real estate companies share this information on there. Does anyone out there have any experience using this? Can anyone give me examples of websites that use this plugin? Some pertinent questions have been raised I thought that I'd run them by you lot Any recommended themes? I see that there is a plugin for wordpress for it. Are there any themes that work best with this? Also my client was asking whether they could have a private database that could work in combination with the properties received to the site from Flex. Sounds like a headache. But I thought I would ask you guys anyway. They want to have videos of the properties, apparently Flex allows this They would like to have facilities such as a secure client area which would have Secure area for legal documents etc (security important) Short lists of properties they are interested in Mailing list that automatically sends out emails when similar properties come on the market Saved search criteria Thank you hive mind

turned out that it isn't that Pinpoint Booking system isn't that great for our needs. Also the 50 bucks advertised within the plugin turned out to be closer to 200bucks if we wanted the life time version.... Otherwise its 70 per year No real way to design the style of the calendar (apart from CSS) Which is fine, I guess. Can only sync with Air Bnb and Google Calendar, NO ICAL integration! (very misleading advertising regarding this) My client wants to be able to sync her booking system with multiple sites such as Trip Advisor, Booking.com, Expedia, etc. They mostly seem to use the ICAL .ics format. Surely there must be a half decent booking system out there that can just link these all up? I thought of a work around of having them all link up with Air bnb and then have Air bnb link via Pinpoint to our booking system on our site, but talking to the technical support they say that wouldn't work (although not 100% he understands what I am saying as I think he is in Romania). Does anyone have any experience in this here? For example: if Expedia tells Air bnb that a room is booked and it then becomes blanked off on their calendar system, wouldn't that then be passed onto our website the next time Pinpoint synced up with Air Bnb?

told my client that I could find a free one, as some of them are ambiguously worded and I thought that some were free, they already haggled me down a bit on price, and I don't want them to say that the cost should be carried by me. Anyway I thought I would let you know that I found a free one called Pinpoint Booking System, which has tons of great stuff like linking to the Air Bnb calendar, free paypal payment, but only one calendar on the free version. Still its only 50bucks to upgrade so I think this one is the main contender at the moment

Thanks Browser Bugs, do they have a wordpress version? I'm still searching for something cheaper. I told my client that I could find a free one. I have heard you can connect some of the free booking systems up with WooCommerce, might that be a way around it? Anyone have any experience with that.

Hi All, I am getting involved with a website for the village I am currently staying in San Pancho Mexico. It's a tourist town and the website that acts as a hub and brand for San Pancho is San Pancho Life. www.sanpancholife.com I didn't build this site, and its in need of an update. We are going to totally overhaul it and probably go with Wordpress I believe. I was just hoping to get some feedback on a few parts of this and pick the brains of the hive mind here to see what we think is the best way to go about this. Some points Advertising and Business listings. We want clients to be able to log in and add their own ads, events, etc, obviously we need some kind of control over content and membership. Memberships and different prices for ads, purchase should generate a password and log in. Limited ads in limited positions. Also business listings. Any plugins or themes recommended for this? Is there some way of putting banners in the drop down ads? I'm not so keen on this, but apparently its a best seller on their current site and they really don't want to lose it.... Any straight forward solution for this? Maps plugin? We are thinking about listing local business on a bespoke map of the town, we are also considering whether this would be worth creating as an app... I think so. Any advice on this? and linking entry on it with the memberships? General theme ideas that you think would be able to cope with this. It's a combination website for tourists and ex-pats that includes: rental property, local information, events, and stuff to do while on vacation. Ok, so this is a slightly strange request but my clients have asked me to put in some ads that appear to the side of the drop down menu text... I have had a quick couple of searches of plug ins but can't find anything suitable for this. Any suggestions? Or what alternatives would you suggest? It's a tourist website that also sell advertising space to local businesses and vacation rentals
