like the general layout but not sure about the colour scheme - not so house, more fisher price also if it's the hottest night then the poster should refelect that feel (colour scheme again) hoe about purple and red/orange/yellows? alternativly keep the yellow bg and use something hotter for the hotter text, maybe replacing blues with reds oranges
 
also depending on how you're thinking of printing this then how ever much i like fw for speed and stuff it's really not geared towards printing - if you have illustrator then do it in that (you can transfer your vector artwork to illi - save as illustratir file or copy as vectors in edit menu and paste into illi
 
edit: not sure about the rounded brush like script for 'house' i think a slab serif or black weight of a sans - something heavy and hard hitting like house music maybe something slightly industrial and dirty like the night promises to be

Don't worry about it! Using a method such as extracting the first x number of words is very commonplace and it's not the sort of thing search engines will see as duplication.
 
If you're still worried just create a new data field called something like "Summary" that you can use to summarise, or precis the post content. You could then use this instead of extracting the first 15 words, or just fall back to the 15 words if you don't add the summary.

Instead of doing a snippet, personally I would do a description, that way you can make it as interesting as you need it without twisting the original article and you can even gear it a little towards SEO.

No, it's not judgement or opinion it's educated and experienced fact and in all honesty if you start getting like that whenever someone does not agree with your opinion it's no surprise she is ignoring you
