JRP got a reaction from sk2oct in Toy Air Drones Review
    Hey everyone

    http://toyairdrones.com/

I've put together a website to showcase drones that are listed on Amazon. I'm just wondering what you guys think of it's usability and design. I've tried to keep it simple to make it easy to navigation and use.

I'm also planning to add a blog, video and accessories section to the website.

    Cheers

You may want to remove the inline-flex as you've set it on .navigation ul which doesn't exist You solved the problem with a max-width on your list items.

For the editor text, you'll need to increase the width of the typing animation.
    @-webkit-keyframes typing { from { width: 0; } to { width: 400px; } //increase this } @-moz-keyframes typing { from { width: 0; } to { width: 400px; } //increase this }

This is just a personally opinion because I don't like a big navigation but maybe try when you scroll down to a cetain point have the height of the nav bar shrink a little, to show a little more content on the screen?

Just clicked onto the website and my first thought was it's a bit bland. There's no images that help lift the page and give the website an interesting look and feel.

My suggestion would to be keep it simple for example - Having one large image that represents your website as the background with a signup box in the middle with the logo and maybe a subtext underneath it, like you've already got -
Curious about how other people think about you?Yet again this is just my opinion, on what could help the site.

Just had a quick look at your website, and Ill say the concept and theme is a good idea, but there is still some finishing off to be done, for example - The logo puts me off as its too big, try making it smaller and put a padding on the top and left of 10, might make it look a bit more better.

There is another problem, the menu drop down on the left hand side, doesn't close when opened! It's annoying

Also I don't know if it's just me but the font family looks a bit odd. Try messing around with a few different kinds, see which one suits the site better.

    Hope any off this helped.

It's still Dreamweaver, so I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

For people who don't use Dreamweaver, you have the ability to preview your website at any resolution by clicking the corner of the browser window and resizing it

Hi there. Designers have different approaches to professional work, it really depends on the way you're most comfortable along with how demanding the client is being.

Unless insist on seeing their own Photoshop layout or images on the website, don't request anything, it makes it easier to work with. If they don't supply you with anything it usually means they're not too fussed over the general design. For example one of my clients simply gave me a colour code, being a mixture of purple and black, while another handed me a sketch of his dream website on a piece of paper and basically asked me to bring it to life. Talk to each client, asking how hands-on they want to be with the design of it. From my experience, the less they give you the better, it's easier to work with your own devices and ideas than someone else's.

    Hope that clears things up.

There's no substitute for building some HTML/CSS wireframes with some real content, then you can play around with colours schemes a lots easier to see what works with your content.

It may be my eyes but the two screenshots look identical, the only difference is the text which differs across browsers and I'd expect that anyway because Firefox and Chrome present text slightly differently to each other.
