Thanks guys, it's immensely gratifying to know I can fix this, however there is one snag, which is that all the data is floating about in a Wordpress database (shelters whilst being pelted with rocks) and so is just in the wp_posts table. Is there a way to search that and do the same thing? Massive apologies for neglecting to mention this.

Hi there, I'm trying to replace about 500 part numbers in a MySql database, each one is located in several different places on the website, meaning there are about 4000 numbers that need editing. I can do a find and replace in MySql with each number, but don't really fancy having to do this 500 times. I have all of the old part numbers with their new equivalents in excel, I was just wondering if there was any way I could use this to do the changes en-masse? If there's a program that does this or a way to get this sorted I'd be ecstatic! Thanks for looking, very much appreciated.

There's a technique called SIFR http://www.mikeindustries.com/sifr/ but it's a lot of work. If I were you I'd try and settle for something similar or use an image and make sure it's got an alt attribute. Don't forget there's a quite a few fonts you can get away with using these days, including things like Impact, Webdings and almost any font that comes with Microsoft Word. Hi there guys, this is stressing me out as I have a very angry client at the other end of the phone! They own a pub and it's listed on Google earth but they want a little icon on it that identifies it as a pub, I can see NO way to do this, the Google Local Business centre lets me edit info about them but offers no choice of icons on Google Maps or Google earth... help!!!!! Hi there, does anyone know how I can generate an RSS feed without having to write XML? I know there are several websites that offer this service remotely, but I'd much rather have everything hosted on my server. Any ideas? A Google search yeilded a few options but I'm not a fantastic coder, so I can't really write any scripts to do this myself. Another reason for asking here is that I was wondering if anyone has any experience using a system or script that does this? Thanks!

Hi there, we are just looking into buying Quickbooks Pro 2008 and wondered if anyone else uses it? Also can anyone recommend the best place to buy it, as it's £300 on the website and only £200 on Amazon... That's exactly how we feel. We've held meetigns in a nearby hotel and a coffee place, but it's exactly as you say - it would make us look more professional and probably let us charge more...

I'll keep this simple. I am a freelancer, but myself and a long term friend are tying to combine to build a small company. Neither of us are in debt, but neither of us a has a large amount of capital, yet we ideally need to work together, ideally somewhere public enough for design walk-ins. Hi, here's a vauge request. A couple of months ago I found a website that let you enter a web address and it would return (in visual form) a sort fo spider diagram of related links and websites... ..I think... Anyway, my memory I regrettably fuzzy about such things. One of my clients has been told be another client of mine that I can show them a visual representation of how their website sits on the net. Has anyone else seen this or something similar? It's just so I can placate thi one client, and I just need some sort of visual representation. Can anyone help?

Not quite. I want my footer to sit at the bottom of the window, so it's visible all the time, even if you scroll down. I realise this will hide some of the content behind it, but that's what I want. The footer linkElanMan posted puts the footer at the bottom of the page not the window. (Or it does in Firefox 3 anyway...) Thanks for your replies! Any ideas?

Is anyone aware of a method that will let me embed a Google map that already exists on another website? I have the company's permission, so I can do wahtever I like as far as they're concerned, but I'm a bit stuck. I don't really want to have to go through the construction of one from scratch, as I'm not every code-minded. Is there a shortcut to this solution?

I was just wondering if there was a CMS out there that I could buy and then legally sell to my customers? Or otherwise a reseller option or a referrals pakage on a CMS? Being able to buy once and then redistribute would be ideal, but I'm not sure what's available, and Google is no help on this matter.
