  1. Feel free to hide it if it is going to cause anyone any grief
  2. OK Fair play. I'd be more than happy to pay for a job ad or two.
  3. WebFlair posted a topic in General Chat
    Hi I have tried to post about needing someone to help with SEO on some projects... But the post is either not being added or is deleted. If it is the case that I am not allowed to make such a post, fair enough I'm certainly not trying to break your rules. I'm just a bit confused, I'm not selling anything, in fact I'm looking to recruit. Jon
  4. Hi I am am looking for someone to work on page titles, meta tags etc on some large web projects. I am looking to work with an individual not a company, and you must be based in the UK. If having spoken to me you can demonstrate a good understanding of the project and we can successfully negotiate an hourly rate you could start next week. The work would involve creating compelling, non spammy, titles an meta tags using a simple SEO Wordpress plugin. Contact support [at] webflair.co.uk if you are interested, giving your name, age, location and details of any experience. Experience is not needed as long as you are bright and have a good command of the English language. Everything else can be taught.
  5. Paying someone to create backlinks is a bad idea unless you know and approve of their methods. It may not do you too much harm to have the spammy inbound links these cheap indian SEO forms create because Google are aware that it would be technically possible to do damage to a competitors position by creating spam links to their website, but it could do SOME harm and certainly wont help. It's also a complete waste. Good inbound links come from your own good content. Create content and tools that people want to link to naturally... Blah Blah Blah... I know, I know, what good is that if no-one is seeing your site in the first place!? You are looking for a quick solution, right? Well there isn't really one unless you are ready to pay (a lot) for advertising but some ways you can create links to your site relatively quickly are... Write a press release and submit to the major press release websites, such as PR web. Contact bloggers in your field and ask them if you can write a guest post. Write a quality post for each that say yes and add a link to a relevant page on your site. If you sell products, ask bloggers to review them Be active on Twitter and make some contacts in your field, see if there is anything you can do for them, negotiate a link or two Write your own blog, blogs are linked to all the time Submit to quality directories... This still can be good, but if the directory mentions SEO in the domain, title, description or submission form, probably best not to bother. Pay for listings on very good directories. Don't avoid links on good sites just because they have the nofollow attribute. Other people may find you via those links and those people may link to you. Don't get obsessed by links and Pagerank, spend MUCH more time developing content
  6. So... {mosmap text='<div style="text-align:center;background:#CCCCCC;"><b>Наш адрес:</b> 71252, г. Тель-Авив, ул. Арлозоров 225-Б, 2-й этаж, офис 25 <a href="http://www.kotkovski.com"=linkTarget title="На главную">www.kotkovski.com</a> <img src="http://www.repetitorov.com/images/contactformTA1.png" width="283″ height="250″ /></div>}
  7. Can you not just add the background colour to the <div style="text-align:center"> ? Like <div style="text-align:center;backgorund:#CCCCCC;"> (Change #CCCCCC to whatever hex colour you want) Or ... <div style="text-align:center" class="maptext"> and add... .maptext { background:#CCCCCC; } to your stylesheet You also seem to be missing a closing </div>
  8. Will the visitor be coming from site A before filling in the form on site B? If so, it may be possible to fill in the form using URL parameters. If this is the case, with a bit of coding you could pull data from the database on site a and create a link with various parameters, like yoursite.com/page.php?name=bob&occupation=drunk Then, again with a bit of coding, you can use those parameters to fill in the form. Hope that makes sense.
  9. So what they have done is taken your mock-up and hired someone else to do it at a lower price. I think I will ask new clients who did the mock-up or PSD from now on, I'd hate to fond out I had coded another firms design without their knowledge It takes time to do the design work so I too would not do it without first having contracts signed and deposit paid. I think the clients decision on who to hire should be based on the designers past work and ability to purvey understanding of the clients requirements. Nice design though
  10. Hi Having browsed this forum a few times I decided to join tonight, I've been having a a relaxing browse around tonight, getting ready for a very hectic week ahead. I run a small web dev company that I'm happy to say has become very busy over the last year or so. So I am on the look out for some talented designers, developers, marketers and even writers to help me expand my business. I may create a post on this forum about that another time. Anyway, just thought I'd say hello!
