  1. Thank you for your feedback! I am using default bootstrap typography.. I will try to experiment with some other typography as well, and see if there is one that suits better The drop shadows are used because they are a novelty with CSS3 so to make it look a bit more modern. I think that the drop shadow is also very subtle so its not bad for the eye. But I will also experiment with this a little bit and see if it looks better without the shadows. About the responsivness as I mentioned in the first post is not yet responsive for mobile devices, but its fluid between 1280px and 1980px Thank you again for your feedback Paul Murray!
  2. I am also experiencing some strange glitch with navigation bar (header) which happens when scrolling upwards, however in Firefox there is no glitch. SOLVED: -webkit-transform: translateZ(0) used on position:fixed elements..
  3. Forgot to scale served images.. I have to crop them so in next 12 hours I think it should be a smaller loading time I have already repaired the image sizes so now it should load in five seconds or less.. I got B grades from Google Page Speed and YSlow
  4. Thank you for all your feedbacks and sorry for this late reply but I have been busy working on a new project for a freelance photographer. @robbydesignes: thank you for mentioning the visual hierarchy.. never really paid much attention to it until now I will also improve and add more content. @@Fuzzy Logic: the color is random, and it can be used any other.. also the logo is random too, made it really fast just so there is an example that says "here is the logo". I already made some changes to the template.. I changed the color, expanded the content etc. I will post the updated version as soon as I will finish with working on a website for a freelance photographer. You can see that website on this topic.
  5. Hello everyone! I am currently working on a new project for a freelance photographer. The website is currently fluid between 1280px and 1980px resolution. I am going to work on responsive version a bit later. I used bootstrap for the grid system, and some jQuery plugins. I would really like to hear some of your critiques of what could be improved. You can see the website here.
  6. Hello everybody! I am currently working on a project just for fun and educational purposes. I might actually even sell this template to a future customer. At the moment I have designed it in Photoshop and I would really appreciate it if you could give me some feedback on it. I designed the first - "about us" page, where there is a brief description in three columns about the companies values and stuff.. Then bellow is "satisfied customers" section and then the footer.. I dont know, what else should I put on the about us page.. Any recommendations? About the navigation on the top: there first button state is the "currently visited" page, the second one is in the hover state and all the rest are in normal state waiting to be clicked I think that is intuitive enough.. Also about the greenish color.. It can be any other too (like violet, blue etc.) Well, enough with the talk.. here it is in jpeg format. I am looking forward to your reviews and feedback.
  7. Ok the problem is solved. The thing was that I used: ('get_template') instead of: ('template_directory')
  8. I got a problem with this stuff, but I cant post what my problem is because it always says that Im forbidden to post any links because i am below 25 posts. It cant find the image, it says OBJECT CANT BE FOUND 404 ERROR...
  9. Thank you all for your feedback! I'm already learning how to create your own theme's with wordpress, when I create smthn i'll post it on this forum for you to review it!

  13. Thanks for your replies! @Willheim: Yes I noticed it's a bit laggy, I've been doing with Lightbox before and I like it, but I'll try with something else this time. @puma: Yes I've fixed the positions of content, so I moved the nav more to the right so there is space for Artwork gallery to be more on the center. It's already updated so you can see it. I've totally forgot about headings if you meant that with h. As you can see I have only some randomtext atm, but as soon as I get the real text I'll also style the headings and put alt attributes to the images
  14. Hello! This is my first portfolio design, I am making it for my friend. My goals are clean, elegant, black & white design. Click here to view portfolio. Anyways hit me with your reviews!

  16. OK I'll start reading the Wordpress documentation! Thank you for your feedback.
  17. Hey! I have skills of HTML and CSS, and I am wondering if there is some other stuff I need to know before kicking into Wordpress CMS. In the near future I'll have to create a website for a friend, and it needs to have a blog implemented (so the user can update stuff via CMS). I've never been working with CMS before. Also I would like to know, which CMS is the easiest to start with. P.S.: Are there any design limitation when you're creating a page (theme) for Wordpress? P.S.S.: I hope you all understand my English (I am from Slovenia)
  18. Very nice! It's good to see what you could do with 3d transforms in CSS3...
