Thanks, I fixed most of the problems you mentioned. I tried to fix the errors from the validator and got a few. About more than half of the errors left are about the links provided in the script tags for the Youtube API. I can't see what's wrong with the links and if I change them according to what the validator suggests, it breaks the link. About half of the 38 errors left are stemming from 4 span tags inside the unordered lists. To fix that problem would take over a week and a lot of recoding. I think it might be better to come back to it at a later date and just validate my html next before starting the code. I'm still trying to think of how to fill up some of the whitespace to make it look more complete. Thanks so much for the advice, anymore advice would be welcomed.

maybe change the divider to a shade of grey. otherwise I like it.

Cookin in Korea This is my first website after almost a year of studying web dev and design. There are still some things missing. The things I'm aware of and plan on fixing are: broken links(some content I have created yet) search functionality preload images for faster response "video" and "recipe" links I'm not planning on updating it much. For the most part I will just use it in my portfolio and as practice. I will update the coding though to fix bugs and such as the website is a reflection on my web skills. One thing that I would like to point out is that I used the Youtube API to connect the video list to my playlist on youtube. What do you guys think? Sorry if I seem like an overeager child, this is my first time. Thanks for any help you can give.

So I'm doing this tutorial and when it comes to this part "In your canvas, marquee select your header size which will be filled with a gradient effect. Height of 60px and width of 800px." I'm confused as what to do. I understand everything in that except what a header is in this context. I know what a header is in terms of a web page but not for this. Here is the tutorial incase you don't follow me, I'm on step 2: http://www.zymic.com/tutorials/photoshop/mp3-player-design/ I tried just putting a marquee rectangle 60x800 pixels on the white rectangle but it didn't end up looking the same as the pic in the tutorial. Can someone explain step 2 to me, mainly, the part about the marquee and header. Thanks for any help. And if anyone knows of any tutorials on how to make mp3 players/tablet/etc. in photoshop , please let me know. I'm trying to make a mockup of a product to use for a future website.

I'm creating the code for layout7. It's taking awhile as I prefer to do everything myself and not use any plugins, mostly so I can put my programming knowledge to use. The hardest part is finding free icons and pictures that fit the look and color scheme of my layouts. Thanks for the advice. Please keep it coming.

Could you guys tell me what you think of the two layouts I drew up? The pictures and icons will be replaced later with ones that I make myself and which will be more suitable for the site. But the general theme of the pictures and icons will be the same. The target audience is foreigners who are in Korea and wish to cook non-Korean food using ingredients found in Korea. This is my first try at a website. I have been studying web programming languages for the last 6 months, and design for the last 2 months and feel it would serve me better to put what I learned to use while continuing my studies. They are very much in the first draft stages. Thanks for any advice you can give me.
