  1. A client of mine wants to have a quicktime player embeded into his myspace account. I thought that would be an easy fix(and hopefully it is) with the <EMBED> tag, but I cant seem to find the right way to do it. is the look player on the site depending on what the browser has as its standard player? Thanks -Obehi
  2. I would take a backup of the site and play around with it. removing elements(typekit, css, images) one by one and see if its making any difference. Hope it turns out fine!
  3. Im pretty new to web-design. One thing Ive learned though. Books is the way to go. Do good research and dive into a book. Tutorials are good for learning additional and more advanced stuff.
  4. It looks good your background fades into white in the middle of the site, witch happends to be the background color for your content. It looks undefined. Maybe add some borders to your contentdiv, or change the color of your background slitely? It looks good!
  5. You can find examples of different ways to achieve this here: here
  6. Why not use if statements to specify code for ie7? <!--[if IE 7]> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/ie7.css" type="text/css" /> <![endif]--> I for one wont punish microsoft for doing something right for once ie8 actually works!
  7. Great! thanks for the fast reply!
  8. Hi. Im beginning to design a site for my second client, and want to use a big image for the background as seen here: www.obehi.com/Top-Notch the picture is at 98kb and it takes some time loading using my average bandwidth. additionaly its gonna be a joomla site. Could I pull it of or will the image take to long to load? Do you recommend a way to reduce the filesize without reducing the quality aswell? some kind of compression maybe? thanks in advance for any replies
